The luxurious surroundings and relaxing atmosphere of the café offer the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, whether for breakfast, lunch, or pre-concert dinner. The Terrace Café is open from 9.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday and open until 8pm when there is a Main Auditorium performance. It is also open three hours prior to performances on Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays.

Went to a concent last night so decided to eat in the terrace cafe first for convenience. Got there at 6 so wasn't many people there but it filled up as the hours went on. Menu is good and the early bird is good value but I'm trying to be healtyish for January so just went for mains. I had the darne of salmon and my friend had the fish and chips. Both dishes were very nice and well presented. We also got a selection of bread to munch on which was a nice touch. We finished with a coffee and a peppermint tea. Bill was €60 (including 2 drinks) which is a bit pricy for the current times but it was fine.

I took my parents to a concert last night at the National Concert Hall and booked dinner at the Terrace Cafe, at the venue, prior to the show. We were able to park in the grounds of the National Hall which was very convenient for my parents. At dinner the staff were knowledgable, attentive and only to happy to answer our (many) questions about the dishes and wine on the menue. An appealling choice of food on the menue and well priced. A very good restaurant experience for us all. Highly recommended.

We arrived as rather a large group without a booking and the maitre d' was very accommodating (including when different members of our party arrived at different stages throughout the lunch). Service was fast and food good, portions are generous. My only quibble would be the prices which are a little on the high side. They do, however, have a loyalty card system whereby you get 10% off your second meal, 20% off your third etc up to a maximum of 50% (I think). This discount applies to the holder of the card rather than all of the diners and it's not always offered at the end of a meal so worth asking for! The only thing I could suggest for improvement is that water be served in a jug or carafe rather than by the glass; one can wait for quite a while with an empty glass.
