Tastee was recommended by a friend and it certainly lived up to expectations! We sampled a variety of chicken, lamb, fish, prawn and vegetable dishes from the chef's specialties on the menu and was very impressed with the quality of the food (which the same cannot be said for most Cork city Chinese restaurants). The chef even served us a complimentary dish! Being Asian, we thought the food was indeed authentic. It was also great value for money as within a group of 5 and 5 dishes we ended up paying about 20 euro each. Parking was very convenient just outside the restaurant, although its entrance was quite obscure..you would hardly know there was a restaurant upstairs! My only peeve is that it does not deliver to the city centre. I would definitely revisit Tastee.

what can i say, if you like chinese food then you will love tastee's. not only is it suitable for those who like chinese but they also offer a european menu for those who are a bit fussy. the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. the staff are extremely friendly and obliging. the service is impeccabel-you will never be left with an empty glass of water. the portions are also very generous and value for there money. the resteraunt has recently been remodified also and is now decked with oriental high back chairs which are a pleasure to sit it, i cant say one bad thing about the resteraunt, it gets ten out of ten from my and all my family.

Regularly go here for their Takeaway menu - their chicken breast curry is really tastee (pardon the pun), and we have also had the Singapore Chow Mien which is lovely too - haven't eaten in the restaurant so can only comment on our takeaway experience. They even deliver which is an added benefit if you don't feel like going out on a cold, wet night. Would highly recommend.

As I live in Ballincollig I am a regular visitor to this restaurant. There are not many restaurants around that you can really give 5 stars but Tastee is one of these restaurants where you get great food with great service in a great location for a great price. I highly recommend the Seafood delight or the Golden fish boat (or Bowl, not sure). The Golden fish boat has an amazing presentation. I got a delivery only tonight. Ordered the Fillet beef with ginger and spring onion and I couldn't even finish it. Great place for dining and for takeaway.

I've been to this restaurant 4 or 5 times and I think it's the best restaurant in Ballincollig. It's modern and exceptionally clean and the lighting and general ambiance is very relaxing. The tables are set with white linen tablecloths which you don't often get in Chinese restaurants. The menu offers a great range of dishes that are reasonably priced. The staff are very pleasant which makes the whole dining experience really enjoyable. The only disadvantage with this restaurant is that it's upstairs and you would almost pass by the entrance - maybe a sign on the street would be a good idea??
