The Cookstown Kitchen cookery school is set in a beautifully restored Georgian house in the heart of Co Louth with a wonderful relaxed country setting. Classes are run by Rachel Hegarty a Michelin trained chef with an addictive passion for food and an approach that is elegent, imaginative and modern. Rachel started to develop her passion with food at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Co Cork, later working in Kitchens under the late Michael Clifford and Eamon Vaughan before working in a Michelin stared Restaurant in Beaune, France and Later in Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in Dublin. Rachel also ran Personal Chefs a catering company with her collegue Thomas Haughton. Before moving to Louth Rachel was executive Chef at Bank of Ireland Private banking in Dublin.
