We have eaten here many many times and their menu is very good with friends etc I have taken here there is always something on the menu that appeals to everyone! The value is very very good with 2 courses and half bottle of wine for €25 it makes going for a meal as part of a night out actually reasonable again and the quality and portion sizes are not compromised.

Have been here for lunch on many occasions and is always good, but my god since doing the dinner on Friday & Saturdays this place is my fav in wicklow town without a doubt. I took my folks and my partner, we were seated upstairs which has a cosy candle lit ambiance, the staff were incredible, attending to every need & recommending wines. I like when staff know their restaurant wines, instead of em....we have Chilean, Australian etc... We decided to go for approx 5 Tapas dishes between 4 of us. The presentation was beautiful, and food was equally as good. This place is exactly what wicklow town needed. We were not rushed and even ordered a 2nd bottle of wine. By no means a quiet place, but not in a bad way, it has a buzzing atmosphere. My compliments to the chefs, staff & owner. A word of advise, book early in advance as they are usually booked out by Wednesday for a Friday or Saturday dinner. As far as I remember our 2 bottles of Vino & Tapas was approx 80euro, a steal when wine was as good as the food.

A few months back I tried their lunch but it was time to go for the whole thing! The lunch menu is quite extensive and varied. I had thai crab spring rolls which came with a lovely salad with a very tasty dressing which included soy and chilli. My husband had deep fried brie and shared - very good! HE had a pasta with tiger prawns that had a very good sauce and flavour while I enjoyed the west Indian chicken curry with squash and served with basmati rice. It was really good - it just wasn't clear if it was vegetarian so I might have ordered wanted vegetarian and been surprised. We were just drinking tap water and when we asked for more we got a jugful. We tried the chocolate pecn tart and the bakewell slice for dessert - we asked for no cream but expected them to be warmed as that is their default, but they were very tasty cold too. Great service and a pleasant view overlooking the square. Would be happy to return. Thank you!

We had lunch here on a lovely, crisp autumnal day. As most of the restaurant is upstairs we had a lovely view of the Market Square beneath. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the décor is stylish. At lunch time you can get a main course plus a glass of house white or red wine for €8.95 to €10.95. It is, by far, the best value I have come across recently, especially as the food and choices are so good. I had ricotta and spinach ravioli with a creamy tomato sauce and salad - delicious. My husband had Mexican lasagna, which sounds a bit strange, but he said it was one of the nicest things he had ever eaten (I tasted it and I had to agree). This came with a salad but there was no problem when my husband asked for chips instead. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. All in all a lovely experience. They also do dinner on Friday and Saturday night. A starter, main course and a half bottleof wine or a beer per person for €25. This is a great idea - usually these deals are dinner for two plus wine, which makes it awkward if you need to invite a third person. I can highly recommend this place day or night. We have been here several times in the past, it never disappoints, and there are slight changes to the menu all the time so there are always surprises.

Went on Saturday night with one of the girls. It wasn't too busy (which was a shame) but the staff were nice and pleasant. We hadn't booked but got a table no problem. I went for the tapas menu which has a great choice and my friend had a steak. The goats cheese bruschetta I had was very tasty but my fish cakes were a little bland. The sharing plate of dips and breads was a great starter. Good value for money.

Went for the Tapas menu. They are small so order a few maybe 5-6 between two people but really nice and its something different for Wicklow Town. Service was welcoming and prompt. Stayed for another bottle of wine. Recommended

My daughter took me to Donelli's for my birthday on a rainy Monday afternoon. I have eaten here before and have never been disappointed. The decor is uncluttered and very attractive, including the artwork on the walls.
We chose from the luncheon main courses which included a glass of wine - very good value. The fish pie was warming on such a day - and generous prawns and fish inside. It was accompanied by a green salad, which was ok, but ordinary and a bit limp. Hearty chicken burger with creamy guacamole, accompanied by excellent chips was a winner.Very good house red - we both had the Malbec, but other choices available. This we followed with a shared brownie - cakey, chocolatey and surprisingly light - from the chilled, classic pastry case, which gives the place a continental touch. Extremely welcoming and solicitous service - and a good crowd in there on such an off-day. Proves it is a local favourite.

I was here on Friday night and I was so very pleased with the vening overall.
I was with my boyfriend and we went for Brie and the dips to start both lovely
I then had very good steak which was good value and cooked correctly as I like it. My boyfriend had duck and it was lovely. We had a very good value of Malbec.
The service was friendly and efficient with a lovely atmosphere.
Had not been for dinner in a while and I can't think why as I will definetly be back and would recommend without hesitation

It really good. We decided to go to Donellis for our anniversary dinner. It was absolutely gorgeous. And great value. It was full to capacity which was great to see. It's a lovely venue and the staff are very pleasant. Well done Donellis! We had brie and the duck spring roll to start. For main we had fillet steak - it was really, really tasty!!! Honestly the best meal we have had in a long time. I'm looking forward to going back.

My son and I decided on the spur of the moment to treat ourselves to lunch recently and I was pleasantly surprised that in comparison to my recent evening meal - the value for money for lunch is much better than my evening dining experience. I had panini with chicken, sundried tomatoes and a sweet chilli sauce that was served with chips. I also got a cappucino which was served in a large mug. My son got a plain ham panini and a homemade cookie which was a great size and very tasty. The place was booming and the service was once again acceptable and with a smile. Very much prefer this place for lunch to many of the places in the town for the outdoor seating area. It is in a great location for the booming atmosphere of the town throughout the day.
