Took the day off with girlfriend for a drive to Wicklow. Being peckish we stopped in Roundwood and went with a hunch that this place could be ok for something tasty. Gut instinct based on exterior and interior decor plus a nice hearty fire blazing away on a cold damp day. Place was quite so service was first class being one of only three tables occupied. The food was just great. Starters all the way through to dessert for both of us and that was a first for both of us. Lamb stew and the pork belly were superb, the winter style desserts topped it off beautifully. Completely stuffed and here is the cerry on top...payed under €60 for it all. No voucher needed to acheive this feat....OK! Not drinking wine helps keep the costs down but still incredible value for money and to be so completely satisfied. I am curious to know if this was a fluke so shall return some day soon to see if this is so or not. I hope not.

Got this on a living social deal but i would have gladly paid full price for it. I ate the fillet steak and my girlfriend the ham sandwich with chips. My fillet steak was delicious; the pepper sauce was really tasty although the meat was so good it wasnt required. My girlfriends ham sandwich was 7 euro, and i was encouraging her to get something bigger, but when it arrived, she could hardly finish it. Amazing value for 7 euro, seeing as how it also came with a full plate of chips (not those awful skinny ones either, but the large cut ones). Yum. The lads who provided the service we're extremely welcoming and in the backdrop of this extremely beautiful town (Roundwood) i would highly recommend it. I wasnt aware, but Roundwood is only 40 mins away from Dublin city centre so its not exactly 'miles' away either. Beautiful food, drive and town.

Myself and my family had lunch here. The restaurant is well presented. The food was satisfactory, but well presented. The staff were very accomodating as we had a baby and toddler. Overall a nice lunch but they need to up their game.

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband. Food was fab & service was good. No rush off the table which is great. My only moan would be the wine it is very over priced esp. in this day & age. I would say they would sell a lot more wine if it was better priced. Before we eat we had a drink in the bar & I had a glass of house white it was terrible, so at my dinner I picked a different wine €39 which was one of the cheaper wines. it was fine but nothing fantastic & we did not order another bottle. There was a group of 6 opposite us & they order 1 white & 1 red for the table & I heard the girl say they would go accross the road for drinks later as we did. All in all lovely food !

Two of us had Sunday lunch here recently. We both went for the fishy options - starting with the fish cakes and having the haddock and leek tartlet for mains. The flavours were good but we felt the portions could have been bigger. The accompanying rocket salad was a little on the tough side. Prices could have equally well applied to the dinner menu - in other words not cheap. Our considered opinion is that there is better value to be had elsewhere in the locality.
