FACILITIES

Accept major credit cards Terraced dining area Luscious Dublin Bay prawns, succulent oysters, melt in the mouth mussels, mouth-watering mackerel…just some of the delicious seafood you’ll find on menus around Ireland.

Irish people love to eat seafood when dining out; in fact, unlike our European neighbours, we eat more seafood outside the home. Perhaps this is a testament to the quality of our seafood restaurants. And for many visitors, a trip to Ireland wouldn’t be complete without sampling a few oysters and sinking a pint of the black stuff. Veggie options available

Amazing atmosphere - the lighting is fantastic. A very busy Saturday around 1pm. We hadn't booked but we were seated immediately. I had the sweet potato fritters - WOW - one of the nicest main courses I have ever had in any restaurant. As a vegetarian it takes a lot for me to say that. So much flavor, perfect crispiness, and the sauces and pitta that came with it - divine. My husband and daughter had the burger which they loved and my mother-in-law had the pate which she thought was ample for a small lunch (she wasn't that hungry). Not cheap but worth every penny.

Beautiful garden room. Food was fantastic and the fact that they allow corkage meant it didn't break the bank! I would definitely go back.

Starter of poached salmon was lovely. My starter of duck liver pate was also very nice but could have done with more. Main courses very disappointing. Monkfish on bed of white beans, beans and more beans. Luckily husband also ordered side of fries. My lamb tagine was tasty but very little lamb mostly apricots and extremely hard chickpeas. The helping of hummus was negligible and the couscous had the addition of a lot of little Hard chickpeas. The coffee came without sugar and by the time we managed to get a member of staff to come to the table had gone cold. This was replaced by an extremely hot cup which clearly had been in the microwave which resulted in me having to drink the coffee with a spoon to avoid burnt lips. Oh did I mention the mixup over our reservation! Not the first time we have had this problem with this restaurant.

My meal was absolutely delicious. My partner had monkfish on the night and thought it undercooked don't know if this is the way it should be? Rest of meal delicious. A little pricey!!!

Food and ambiance excellent as usual. It is always a pleasure to dine at the Fern House. The only small issue is the wine list, I cannot put my finger on it but just cannot seem to find a nice wine and in common with all restaurants they charge too much for entry level wine!

I love the Fern House Restaurant, the setting is gorgeous, the staff are professional and the atmosphere is perfect. The food is delicious and warming. My only complaint would be the lack of vegetarian options but I will still be back in the future for special occasions.
