Returned with great delight following our first Menupages Deal and armed with another. The only thing last time that I had not liked was the brown bread and tyhis time it was a much better flavour. We couldn't pass teh scallops with pancetta and parsnip puree, they are pure heaven - delicious. Would like to try the other starter sometime... My husband chose the lamb shank which was delicious and I chose the steak with pepper sauce. It was disappointingly tough, but I persevered as the place was quite busy and I might have been waiting ages for a change. We were given comp tea to make up for it which was nice. White chocolate terrine and a Tia Maria baked cheesecake were our choice from the lovely selection and both were delicious. The menu is really good and I would recommend it to others as a great food night out!

We dined here on a wet and windswept November night and the bistro was so cosy . We bought the menu pages deal - which was three courses for two people , off the a la carte menu, for €49 (worth €100). Our daughter tagged along so we just added another main course to complete a lovely night out. The food was fabulous, the menu had great variety, we had the scallops on parsnip puree and pancetta crisp to start and it was divine. My daughter had duck which was lovely and my husband had fillet steak cooked to perfection and a lovely whiskey mushroom cream sauce. The accompanying vegetables were wonderful – roast vegetables with dauphinoise potato. The desserts looked very tempting but we finished off with lovely boards of Irish cheeses . Service was also first class. A fantastic night in a lovely bistro, in a pretty village. We will be back, it was an unforgettable dining experience.
