Ocean Bar & Grill 4.5 star review: Have actually dined here twice in March 2013 and have to say it is difficult to fault. Seated at window as requested which is nice as you can watch the sea across the road. Menu covers most peoples requirements. For Starters had Atlantic seafood chowder on one visit, Pan seared Scallop on another, both excellent . Main coursed on Prime Irish 10 oz Rib Eye Steak one visit and Grilled Hake on another. Both perfectly cooked.

This place is really doing the business locally because it offers well cooked food at a reasonable price in nice surroundings. the service is always warm and friendly and their home baked breads are a real winner.

Over this past winter have been here 4 times and I'm sure that many more visits beckon.

Ocean Bar & Grill 4.0 star review: Visited this restaurant on a Friday evening with a group of friends. It was very busy that evening and therefore great atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their food. It is not gourmet style but satisfying and good value for money. I would return and recommend.

Ocean Bar & Grill 5.0 star review: dined here on wednesday night for the first time.
what a beautiful room to dine in and we were lucky to get a table at the window as the restaurant was very busy and i am not surprised as the menu is only e20 for two courses apart from a couple of steaks that have a small supplement.
Starters we had tiger prawns and brie both very tasty and cooked perfectly and mains we had lamb shank and plaice again both tasting beautiful.
Even though the restaurant was very busy the service was excellent each member of staff knowing what the were doing and with all so friendly.
will be back and will recommend to everyone.

Ocean Bar & Grill 3.0 star review: I had lunch here with my family for the first time today. I liked the decor. It was quite a relaxed environment but I don't think I will be returning. The food was average. I had the goats cheese parcels to start, they were nice but lacked in flavour slightly. The goats cheese was quite overpowering. I had the carbonara for my main meal but it again lacked flavour and my pasta was under-cooked. I love carbonara and eat and cook it regularly, and it was easily in my bottom three. The two other adults in my company had soup to start, they were not offered any bread which I thought unusual. The service was very slow. We waited for long periods between each course. There was three adults and a child in our party and our quick lunch became two hours. We waited near thirty minutes for a jelly and ice cream for the child in our party. We were told it was on the way on three occasions. On the brightside, the meal was 14.95 for two courses.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
