4.5 Campo de' Fiori 4.5 star review:
Impressed. restaurant was fully booked so 6 of us went for dinner in their function room - expected to be marched into a dimly lit back room or down a lane - completely surprised - the room was fantastic - floor to ceiling windows, wood paneled and really nice atmosphere. The waiter was quirky, helpful and well able for our banter. House red was very drinkable and at 20 quid we had no complaints. We shared a meaty antipasto, a bruschetta and a spicy meat bruschetta to start - very decent portions and delicious to boot. Most of us had the fillet steak, there was a meat ravioli and a fish dish. Steak was very nicely cooked - medium rare with a balsamic sauce. The pace of the service was well judged, we didn't feel pressured to hurry and we were well looked after for drinks etc. Money wise you get what you pay for, our consensus was that it was fairly priced based on the high quality of the food and service. We will be back.

I knew we would be in Bray on this date so I rang the restaurant the previous week to check that lobster would be on the menu, a very helpful staff member could not say yes for sure as it all depended on the weather and whether the boats could get out to fish, I was assured that they would ring me on Saturday and let me know. This they did and lobster was on, this was great customer service and other restaurants should take note.
For starters I had Bruschetta pomodoro which you make up yourself with oil which is on each table and fresh tomatoes which are brought with the bread, yummy, partner had Quaglia al Marsala (quale legs) which were delicious.
Main course consisted of the afore mentioned lobster, again partner had nothing but praise for this course too, I decided on the Calamaretti pomodorai (squid in tomato and garlic) the waiter suggested that the starter portion would be large enough rather than a main course portion, another brownie point, as he could just as easily given me a main course and it would have been double the price. This was sooooo tasty.
We had a bottle of house white, a cappuccino and partner had a shot (can't remember of what) on the house and that went down a treat.
This restaurant is fine dining at a fine price our bill came to a very reasonable
81euro and 60 cent. The next time I am in Bray I will definately return.

It was a beautiful sunny Spring evening, my friend and I went for dinner. From the moment I walked in it felt like I had stepped into a reataurant in Italy. The atmosphere was just lovely. The staff speaking Italian on the phone, an Italian family eating and chatting at the next table belisimo! We were seated at a windoe near the window, we could see the lovely blue sky, blue sea from our seats. We were served very promptly with delicious Bruschetta. Then the main course, I had chicken with mushroom sauce I was very pleased as I always seem to like my friends choice more than mine. My friend had a beautiful beef dish with potatoes. We were very full after this, so didn't have any dessert, I just had a coffee. We were both every happy with our evening - it was lovely to be transported back to Italy for a few hours. Would highly recommend Campo De Fiori. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

5.0 Campo de' Fiori 5.0 star review:
Great service & great meal. There was a €20 & a €25 menu, the 4 of us chose the latter. Nice fresh white bread was brought to the table. You eat it with olive oil, not butter in this restaurant but it really is quite nice. It is considered more authentically Italian. 2 of us had a quail starter in a fresh tomato with some olives. Din't like olives but you'd barely notice them in the sauce. Other 2 had 2 soups, minestrone was 1 of them. I think leek was the other. Everyone enjoyed their starters. For mains 2 had sea bream with tiger prawns & mussels kinda served separately on a large plate with some wine jus & broccolli with chilli. One loved the veg, the other found it too hot, personal taste. I had breast of chicken with pancetta, rocket, parmesan in a sage and butter sauce, it was delicious. Accompanying roast potatoes more like wedges were okay. Another had a ravioli dish. which they enjoyed. 2 had the desert special of milk chocolate cake with a tiramisu mousse & 2 had a ricotta cake with raisins or sultanas. Everyone thought their dessert was delicious. 10 out of 10 for an almost perfect meal with great quality ingredients, superb dishes & service. New restaurant is nice too though I felt a bit of a cold draught at my back occasionally.

I have to say there are not a huge amount of decent restaurants in Bray and the surrounding areas, but this place is a breath of fresh air. The food is amazing. My brother and I had a meal here on Friday and we both agreed it was top class. We shared the duck starter. It was a daily speciall and wow - YUMMY! For a main I had the 1/2 lobster and pasta and my brotehr had the goose meat pasta. Mine was exceptional. I will be back.

Without doubt the best Italian food this side of the Med. You will not find more authentic cuisine anywhere outside Italy, with the simplest ingredients making the most amazing dishes. I did prefer their old premises and previous menu however, I think they have become a bit cocky due to their successnbut you can't argue with the quality. Gorgeous wines and the nicest olive oil I've ever had (and I'm a total olive oil snob!).

I'm so glad i decided to stop here this evening, without a doubt the best food i've ever had in Bray.A very authentic Italian.Great atmosphere, great staff.A real dining experience.
We ordered the antipasti and it was quickly scoffed. All quality ingredients.
On to the mains,
My friend had the Fiorentina steak(not cheap,€35ish) and as usual he said it was top quality,it's not for me as it's served rare/med rare so i went for the fillet and it was superb.Cooked perfectly medium with pepper sauce and chips.
I would highly advise people to check this place out.

The starters were both very good and the wine list was excellent, getting things off to a good start. The allowed us to try several wines before deciding. Furthermore they had several available by the glass and not just the one.
The mains were pretty good, we both had nice pizzas. The selection was a bit limited unless you are fond of seafood. The steaks are only cooked rare which was a bit of a disappointment.

We finally got a reservation for this famed restaurant. Firstly the setting is lovely and service good. The food was amazing I had bruchetta to start with steak for main, those with me had pizza, beef and a chicken dish. The food was amazing, however if I do have a problem it would be the menu itself. It is very limited in what it offers. While what we ate was lovely we felt that there was a very limited choice and a distinct lack of pasta dishes which I found odd for an Italian. While this may seem pedantic myself and the 3 people I was with all agreed, In summary great food but limited in what they offer.

5.0 Campo de' Fiori 5.0 star review:
Campo de' Fiori is definitely our favourite restaurant! We travel the length and breadth of Italy every year and Campo is the most authentic Italian restaurant we have been to in Ireland! We have been visiting Campo de'Fiori on a monthly basis every year since its birth in 2004! The food and wines are consistenly exquisite. The owners don't do Italian food as we Irish are led to believe it is - this is the real thing with lots of southern Italian influences with plenty of delicious fish dishes. The owners and all the staff couldn't be more friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. Their new premises are beautiful and we simply cannot wait for "Campo de'Fiori Risto-market" to open across the road! Very very well done for making us so happy to be living in Bray over the last 7 years! Bray would simply not be the same without Campo de' Fiori!
