Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: Really like this place, especially for breakfast on a Saturday morning the prices are very reasonable and the food is consistently good the owner is always milling around and we have always found him to be really nice which does make the difference.

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: Once again visiting family in Wicklow Town, I decided to pop into halpins as it has been so good on my last visit. Nothing had changed, the cafe was full but the owner came over to us and offered us a seat in 5 minutes they were just clearing the table. whilst we were waiting we looked at the menu and the specials board and the choice was unbelievable. I decided on a plane sandwich and found out nothing is plane in halpins. up came the sandwich with three salads on all of which were beautiful my partner decided on a hot meal and again accompanied by three salads. The home made deserts looked so lovely that we decided on a almond tart and apple pie both served hot with ice cream and scrumptious. We were not disappointed. This cafe is so welcoming and while sitting there noticed the owner (I think) actually going out to talk to people looking in the window and bringing them back in with him making them feel like they were old friends. Everyone was talking to each other about the meal they were eating which I have never come across before. I will certaily be visiting Halpins again and will be telling anyone I know visiting Wicklow Town to pop in they will not be dissapointed

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: This was my first visit to Halpins in wicklow town and I have to say I was very impressed. The food was really good and the people in our comppany had a selection of salads and wraps which were very fresh and tasty. The menu seems to cater for all and provides a selection of vegetarian and non vegaterian snacks and lunches. I enjoy good quality coffee and Halpins did not disappoint me at all. The staff were friendly and the cafe itself is spotless. Our table was waited on by a very attentive man who made sure we had everything we needed and he even chatted to the kids for a while.
Being new to the area I am delighted to have discovered this cafe so soon. Well done to all involved. i look forward to many lunches and coffees in Halpins.

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: Another visit to Ireland and had to come back to my favorite eating place in Wicklow Town. Very pleased to report that it was as good, if not better than I remembered. Service was excellent even though I probably went in during their busy time. The place was packed but the staff were wonderful, calm and relaxed, taking the time to recommend the different dishes available. Hard to chose from such an extended choice, but when I did I was not disapointed and really enjoyed my meal followed by a fantastic cheese cake. Halpin's is so well located and the atmosphere is lovely. A place where I felt very comfortable, even though I was on my own. I love the place and can not wait to come back again. I envy the local people who are able to pop in every day for a meal or just to enjoy a coffee and cake, without breaking the bank as the prices are more than reasonable. Lovely place which I recommend to all heading to Wicklow Town.

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 3.0 star review: We live in Wicklow and have used this coffee shop a few times for coffee and found it fine. How disappointed were we the other morning when we called in for breakfast. On the menu during the week they offer scrambled egg and bacon as the only cooked breakfast. Neither of us like scrambled egg and we asked could we have a poached egg instead. To be told no as it was not on the menu. To add insult to injury we were told that they only did "a full breakfast" at weekends. How hard is it to make a poached egg hot water and and an egg!! The chef was walking around the restaurant obviously not in the least bit busy. we settled for toast and tea. Really disappointing.

We never reply negatively to complaints from customers always working hard to rectify problems but in your case I am going to make an exception.
I have never been into a restaurant or coffee shop and thought I could order things that are not on the menu but you must feel you are very special
That you expect any eating establishment to make things especially for you that are not on the menu.
Your the 2nd person in 2.5 years to ask for a poached egg so I don’t think we are depriving Wicklow of the chance to have poached eggs.
Everything we sell in the shop is made by our chef and Monday to Friday he Bakes all the pastries, breads, scones and hot specials on a daily basis between 7am and 3pm when he finishes.
His time is completely taken up doing that but on a Saturday and Sunday there is no pastry baking done so we do a Full Breakfast menu.
We have a large extensive menu catering for most tastes and I guarantee there are things on our menu that no other shop in Wicklow offers so perhaps you should go into them and ask them to make something off our menu (or anyone else's) and see will they oblige.
To give us a negative review for the reason you have is extremely petty and small minded. If you had asked why we don’t do Poached eggs or cooked breakfast during the week I would have been quite happy to explain the reason to you. Feel free to get in touch if you know of any restaurants that will cook anything I want that’s not on their menu and I will check them out.

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: This is a little gem oozing with charm, character & hospitality. Everybody who works in the industry should visit to experience how it is done correctly by all the staff at Halpin's. If you are lucky enough to nab a seat outside in the sunshine and have a leisurely coffee or soak up the ambience in the comfie corner chairs and read the newspapers/magazines provided while you await your companion, you will never feel rushed. Halpin's supported Operation Transformation and they continue to calorie count food - wonderful. The coffee is wonderful, the hot chocolate divine, the daily speciaIs heavenly, I'm only sorry I can't mention a favourite as I am always torn by the choice myself. I cannot urge you enough to try their famous weekend breakfasts - incredible and such good value! My only regret is that they close at coffee shop hours and don't offer a dinner menu, as I'm sure I don't have enough superlatives to rate that!

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: Read and heard great things about Halpins Bridge from friends so when we took our first ever trip to Dublin, we set a day aside to go to Wicklow to see for ourselves. The cafe is so bright and light and clean - really busy though (but I understand it was a Bank Holiday) After the shock of Dublin city prices, Halpins were a nice surprise - really reasonable and the food was lush - perfect for a big breakfast and then white pudding was not what we were expecting - instead something far nicer, akin to a rosti. The owner made us very welcome and told us about the local gaol/museum and that on this day there was an annual regatta so we weren't lost for things to do. It's not often people take the time to pass on info like this and we reallly appreciated it - would loved to have stayed longer and tried the lunch menu - but I guess we'll be back! Thanks to everyone at Halpins Bridge.

Halpin's Bridge Cafe 5.0 star review: visit this place every week and it never dissapoints. ... and they dropped the prices with the VAT cut on the first day... not too many in the town did that.
the place has one of the nicest atmospheres I ever encountered in a coffee shop, with the friendliest staff of any coffee shop in the town.
they always welcome you in and even thank you when you leave.
the owner usually shows you to your table and is a bundle of laughs going from table to table chatting and joking and from what we saw of the way he treated some tourists that were dining, he should be getting paid by bord failte. he was recomending places to visit in the town and drawing on maps in the middle of the lunch rush.
and the food... incredible. always a great choice on the menu and specials board, this visit i had lovely beef strogonoff and 3 side salads €9.50, and my companion had a warm tartlet with Vine tomatoes, basil and fresh mozarella €7.50.. finished up with one of the nicest cappucinos i have tasted ever, lovely creamy milk and the coffee is fantastic.and a really large americano coffee that was only €1.95, Cant believe a previous reviewer said the coffee was bad, one of the nicest blends i ever tasted. (did they work for ILLY lol)
Dont even want to mention the desert counter, i can feel the weight piling on lol.
