Vinos Restaurant & Cafe is busy celebrating its 5th year under the guidance and direction of David & Jeff Behan. The Behan Brothers took over this well established restaurant (Vino Pasta) just over 5 years ago and have been offering the finest in Mediterranean Cuisine to Greystones local residents, visitors and tourists alike, since then.
Situated on Church Road, right in the heart of this bustling seaside town of Greystones Vinos Restaurant & Cafe has the added advantage of being a few steps away from the DART station and finds many day (and
evening) trippers visiting the restaurant and then returning home on the DART!
Last December David and Jeff embarked on a refurbishment project which saw the new look of Vinos emerge through the new brand of Vinos Restaurant & Cafe Greystones, an addition of Vinos Cafe & Retail and, coming soon, Vinos Homemade (a catering and take home option) to complete their offering.

Four of us headed down to Vino’s to round off the Christmas and New Year celebrations. It’s our usual haunt so we were pretty certain that we were in for a good evening and Vino’s did not fail us. Two pear and blue cheese salad starters (my favourite from the Vino’s menu) , one calamari and one pate (which I sneaked a taste of - delicious) to start were perfect. One of our party had the fish special recommended by the friendly waitress, two had the escalope of pork which looked very appetising while I had the vegetarian fettuccini which is light and just right after all that turkey and ham we’ve gone through! Too full for more than two deserts between four, we enjoyed a couple of bottles of prosecco and had another wonderful evening at Vino’s. Highly recommended.

The food is good however it is a bit pricey if you cant avail of the early bird. This was my 2nd visit in a month and both times I didnt find the staff great. They arent very attentive and you are left waiting for ages when you ask for something such as more water. It is good that they do gluten free pasta and both nights I was too full for dessert after having the chicken with red pesto, spinach, olives and cream which is particularly good. The antipasti starter is good too but would like to see gluten free bread on the menu My last visit was tainted by the loud and obnoxious table beside us. It made it hard to conduct a conversation. Both Saturday nights the restaurant was packed which is a good sign.

Booked this restaurant for dinner to celebrate a birthday, we decided to drop over birthday cake and candles for the group, totally shocked when we were told by waitress that due to health and safety they didn't want us to bring birthday cake ! The waitress said if we got food poisoning from their restaurant and had eaten the birthday cake they couldn't be sure it would have been their food that would have poisoned us or the birthday cake ! What a shock when we had not eaten, we took our cake went up the street to another Italian restaurant who didn't think about food poisoning and we cut our cake when meal was finished ! Oddly enough we were all too full to eat the birthday cake, Vinos need not have worried! but diners beware u cannot and will not be welcomed by this restaurant if you want to bring a cake and sing happy birthday ! What a load of rubbish they nearly ruined the day but thankfully as I said we got another Italian in Greystones !

Three of us went in for just a main course and had a very nice meal. I chose the pork escalope which is done with cherry tomatoes, goats cheese and rocket and is always very tasty. The other two both chose the Spaghetti Carbonara and it was delicious - I sampled it too, the smoked bacon was bursting with flavour. The pasta portions were very generous. We just missed the early bird or we might have had more for our money, but it is pretty good value and always very good quality. Thanks folks!

Yesterday morning we called into Vino Pasta to have an early lunch. My partner, daughter and I arrived first and were later joined by my parents and Grandmother.
We ordered from the set menu (only one available early in the day) and we found the food very good. However the service was slow, and given that we were the only people in the restaurant it wasn't really understandable. We also found the staff quite snappy and unhelpful - a smile wouldn't have gone astray...
In short, we won't be rushing back here.

I chose the Goat’s Cheese and Walnut Salad for starters which was lovely, the only negative thing I could say was that the cheese overpowered
the rest of the salad a little. For main course I had the salmon which was possibly the nicest salmon I have ever eaten! Delicious herb coated potatoes to
accompany it and the vegetables were lovely and crunchy! Very friendly staff and I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Came here for a family meal mid week and I must say the food was delicious! The decor looks a little dated and worn but it kind of added to the comfortable atmosphere. The staff were really helpful and when they forgot a starter were most apologetic. all in all a great experience will definitely be back! And I highly recommend the prawns for starters, YUM!

We stopped in here early on a Sunday evening. Nothing on the early bird menu really grabbed us so we ordered from the main menu. We were brought some bread and we ordered some water. 10 minutes came and went and still no water despite all the tables around us getting their drinks so we had to order again from another waitress. My calamari were delicious, crispy, tender and accompanied by a roasted garlic aioli. My partners chicken wings were also good and had a lovely asian flavour to them. For mains I had the lasagne al forno which wasn't the most flavourful lasagne I've ever had. It came with a nice green salad. My partner ordered pasta with chicken, broccoli, sun-dired tomato and pine nuts. The pine nuts were nowhere to be seen and the whole dish just lacked flavour. A bad ending to to a meal that started out well. Total bill came to €49.50 including a large bottle of still water. Would I go back? If only having a starter then maybe.

My husband and myself were in Vino Pasta on a Friday evening in August and ordered from the early bird menu. The food was delicious, could not fault one thing- the beetroot and goats cheese salad starter in particular was spectacular. I could not speak highly enough of the staff either. They were friendly, helpful and extremley accommodating. We will definitely be dining here again and will look forward to it!
