Wallace's Alba 4.0 star review: I ate here with my partner recently and we had a decent meal. on the positive side the host was very nice, and the service was pretty good. The atmosphere wasnt great though. Its a small restaurant with limited seating, and there was a large group with kids at the table beside us and with the place being so small they had taken over the place really. Its high ceilings and bright lighting take away any chance of its small size being cosy. The food was pretty good though. Decent started, lovely pasta main course of sausage and brocolli in a creamy tomatoe sauce. Wine was reasonably priced and drinkable. The banoffe tasted homemade and fresh and was very good. The value is good overall.

Wallace's Alba 5.0 star review: This was my second time visiting this restaurant and I seem to remember enjoying it last time so I was looking forward to going back. The occasion was a belated mothers day present. We arrived at 6:45 and we were advised of an early bird menu which runs from 5 to 7. It was 19.50 for 3 courses which I was delighted with. There were 5 choices for starter and 5 choices for main, with 3 desert options. I had Bruchetta for starters which was nice, a little plain, but ok. My mother had a selection of meats, cheeses and olives which she really enjoyed. For main course I had spaggetti Bolognese which was tasty, I also tasted my mothers smoked chicken pasta which was scrumptious, she really enjoyed it. My favourite was the desert. I had Tiramasu, and it was one of the nicest I have ever had. My mother had a duo of Italian cakes which she also enjoyed. The food and one bottle of wine came to a credit crunching total of 57 euro which was fantastic. The atmosphere was not as good as the last time we were there as the place was empty apart from ourselves, but this was our own fault as we decided to eat early. I would return here in a heartbeat.

Wallace's Alba 5.0 star review: I went to Wallace's Alba on a Friday night with other 11 people and was surprisingly delighted. We had a three courses set menu of 25,95 euro and all the courses as well as the service were amazing, especially for the value. I had lovely Bresaola as starter and fillets of Cod pizzola as main: all were very impressive taking into account that the place is very small. We paid 18 euro per bottle for an outstanding value wines, Barbera as red and Favorita as white. Atmosphere is very pleasant and happy.
Looking forward to going back there again for my christmas party :-))

Wallace's Alba 3.0 star review: Very poor food and terrible service. A group of 8 of us went as a bon voyage meal for a friend of ours and none of us enjoyed it (we actually went for chips afterwards!). I had caesar salad to start which was very bland. The dressing tasted like mayonaise, the chicken was rubbery and the lettuce a little on the wilted side. One of our party ordered from the early bird and was let know about it! When 4 starters of bruscetta arrived the waitress asked who had ordered theirs from the early bird, and they were very obviously presented with a portion half the size. I ordered a starter of goats cheese on a bed of asparagus as my main. It would have made a nice starter but my word they kept it as a starter portion! A small piece of goats cheese with 4 burned asparagus tips, thankfully I ordered potatos on the side! After sitting with empty plates in front of us for roughly 40 minutes we decided against desert and left. Very unwhelmed.
