3.0 Terrace Restaurant @ Whites of Wexford 3.0 star review:
Was staying at the hotel as part of an organised tour. On arrival at the restaurant the woman on reception was taking money from a queue of customers held up her hand to my party without uttering a word and continued to take cash. When she finished taking the cash she showed us to a table with an apology for the delay we incurred. I have awarded half a star for the pleasant girl who took our orders. When finished our mains an extremely rude waitress came and started clearing the table without asking had we finished. She eventually brought back desert menus which were literally snapped out of our hands when we ordered. We entered the restaurant at 8pm and at 930 the very same waitress banged down the bill on the table. The service we recieved was nothing short of a disgrace. Foodwise did slightly make up for the service and we all enjoyed our food. The atmosphere was marred by the bad service. I will not be returning here again.

4.0 Terrace Restaurant @ Whites of Wexford 4.0 star review:
As part of a weekend away in Wexford we received 1 free dinner for booking 2 nights at the hotel.
The meal we decided on for Saturday night, the restaurant was absolutely packed to capacity. I managed to scare the waiter by mentioning my girlfriend has certain allergies before ordering, just to keep him on his toes for the evening.
I had the Goat's cheese tartlet for starter which was yum, I love Goat's cheese and this was no exception.
The main course I chose braised shank of Wexford lamb, I could have handed back the knife as the meat pulled away from the bone with ease. An excellent main course.
Not feeling like a sweat desert I went all out and ordered the cheese board. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Drinks were not included in the dinner deal but we had a bottle of red between us so the entire evening cost less than €20.
Highly recommend this restaurant

Our meal in Whites Hotel was part of a package .The food was excellent and the staff were superb. I had a smoked salmon starter, lovely and for main I had seafood cannelloni, lovely sauce, fish filling a tiny bit dry and for dessert I had the cheese board, very tasty. My wife had the ceaser salad, sirloin steak, and Warm Apple & Raisin Strudel served with Ice Cream for dessert, which she thought was fantastic. Will visit again next year.

We were on a part of the package for the hotel. The staff were atrocious. we booked dinner for 7.30 an were still waiting to get our order taken by 7.55, this would have been fine if we had some bread to nibble on! The waitress borught the wrong wine and couldn't find tha correct one.The set menu was fine, nothing offensive( bar the cooking) I had caprese salad, the mozzerella was diced?! the tomatoes were bitter from being taken in and out of the fridge, the black olives?? were from a jar,a nd this made the dressing fro the lettuce, olive brine and oil! I asked for some bread and was presented with olive bread that was at the least 2 days old or just terribly stale. The hubby had the gradvlax, it would have been lovely if the salmon hadn't been over powered by the biggest portion of potato salad, The main, hub had seafood cannelloni, very nice but so filling. I chose the tagine of chicken, i was chicken rubbed with some tumeric/corriander/cumin and oven roasted, the sauce that acoompanied this on the plate was the tastiest part of the meal, the cous cous was nice. The desert prefaced with the waitress telling me ther was alcohol in the desert, the bottle of wine on the tale should surely have told her a. i was over 18 and legal to drink or b. no pregnant! I can't explain how awful the food was, the staff didn't have a notion. Never again.

This is my first comment on here. I read a lot of the comments and eat out depending on the comments. My wife and I spent 2 nights here in the Hotel and on the first night, we got chatting to the receptionist, a nice girl. Anyway, after a few minutes, she advised us to eat somewhere else rather than here. We obviously thought she was joking. Unfortunately she wasn't. This place is the as far away from been French food than I am from playing for Ireland. The food thay do serve is actually pretty abismal I think. It's a bad sign when even your own staff don't believe in your product, so my wife and I would like to say thank you to the lovely receptionist for trying to stare us in the right direction. You deserve a pay rise for been so nice to your guests.
