Sunday lunch, their busiest time of the week the restaurant was packed and we were seated within 15 minutes. The service was efficient but the menu read like an appeal to greatness but I found particularly laughable the idea of "air dried parma ham". The service was a little hit and miss, there were too many members of staff and not all of them knew what they were doing. To start I had the spring rolls and was a little disapointed, they were very basic and distinctly unimpressive salad took up most of the plate. One of my party had a pasta starter which seemed better value and the galic mushrooms put the spring rolls to shame. For mains I had the codd on a bed of risotto with an unnessesary gratin on the side. The toilets were a little difficult to find and very dated. Overall it was quite enjoyable however it was a bit pretentious for pub grub.

Really enjoyed this. Food was lovely atmosphere was great and staff were brillant. Very relaxing and plenty of room and very reasonably prices. The crowd there said it all, seems to be very busy all day long. Sit back and relax, lovely place

This is a great restaurant, one of my favourites. I was late coming down from Dublin and said I would call down to the River Rank. Staff were very friendly and were happy to serve me dinner even though i was quite late. The chowder in this restaurant is gorgeous! I recommend coming here for the chowder alone. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed great for unwinding after a long day. Views from the windows of scenic Wexford town at night all lit up is a great backdrop. I had a sirloin steak for main course and it was cook to perfection and their pepper sauce was perfect too! Sticky toffee pud for desert was amazing! I cant wait for another one of them! Some might say the toilet facilities are a little dated, but that’s really looking for fault. Great food, great location. Highly recommend!
