This is my favourite restaurant in Wexford town. Have been numerous times with my family. My problem is that it is no longer called La Scala and am a bit dubious about trying it now. Would love to know why the name change?

My partner and I visited for lunch last Tuesday, one of the very cold days. We were warmly greeted by the proprietor and his wife who showed us to our table. We were given a complementary glass of mulled wine, which was most welcome on such a cold day. We opted for main course, and we both had fish on this occasion it was fillets of John Dory, cooked perfectly served with cauliflower and broccoli and potatoes. The fish on the changes regularly as it depends on what is fresh and available each day. To finish I had a herbal tea, and my partner had a desert. We had an excellent meal and good value. This resteraunt has excellant Christmas Lunch and Dinner Menu's which are very good value. I would highly recomend this resteraunt, It is a true Italian resteraunt.

Very poor service received at this restaurant. The interior is actually quite nice, but unfortunatley there was a smell of sick at the first table we were seated at so we moved, which was not a problem as the restaurant was quite empty. The pizzas we received were fairly average, and when we queried the amount of toppings on them, the response was extremely rude to the point that we literally were forced to just get up and leave in shock. I could go into more detail but suffice to say that it was an absolutley terrible experience.
