Went to the Coach House with the Children as part of our Christmas Eve Routine where we will always go to a nice restaurant or pub for a lunch before Santa. What a disappointment. Kids Eat Free it said which was good so in we went. Ordered 3 Kids Meals Burger and Chips and my wife ordered a Chicken Salad. Mine read really well from the menu - Cajun Chicken in a Ciabatta with Mozarella and Bacon - servied with Side Salad and Fried - I recall it was about €11. Well - the food arrived quickly, in fact - too quickly and alarm bells started to ring. Kids first - 3 Buckets of greasy reheated wedges with burgers in burnt buns - it looked and tasted vile. My wifes was just passable though I would question the freshness .... but mine. OH MY GOD. The Ciabatta was like a piece of concrete - totally solid and there were 3 pieces of what could only be regarded as the leftovers from the Breakfast Rolls, 2 x 2mm strips of chees ( definintely not Mozarella) and some sauce of some descripiton. I am not one to complain normally but I called the girl over before I even picked up a fork and told her to to take it back. She asked why and I said quite simply and politely it looked like it was cooked a week ago - which it did. She was lovely offering me alternatives or Tea and Coffee but I had seen enough. I wasnt charged for MY meal but that was the extent of the gesture. RUINED my Christmas with the kids - I will never darken it's door again

Went here today for a late lunch. The place was very busy and all the specials were gone, a good sign I thought! I ordered the chicken gougeons with side salad and chips . The 2 girls behind the bar were working very hard serving both food and drinks, they were exceptionally pleasant and my order was taken within a few minutes. The gougeons arrived on a cold plate with 2 dips ,chips and a tired and limp tiny portion of salad containing a lot of red onion. However the gougeons were home made, delicious and very tasty. It was a pity the meal was let down by the miserable salad saturated in a brown dressing. This place has great potential but needs to address a few points.
