1.0 Il Primo Italian Restaurant 1.0 star review:
Myself and my partner visited this restaraunt on Sat 12th Jan and were very disappointed. After reading the reviews we thought we were in for some nice food in a nice relaxed atmosphere but we totally wrong.
When we walked in we were told to pick whatever table we wanted as it was dead, so we got a booth in the corner. The restaraunt was freezing. The waiter put the menus on the table and walked off which I felf was quite rude. We weren't offered a drink of given any type of welcome. After we decided what we wanted the waiter came over and took our order. On the drinks menu it said "Italian Beer" when I asked what the "Italian Beer" was I was told "Italian Beer" I then had to ask what brand it was before I got a proper answer.
We deep fried bree to share as our starter. It was ok..our plates were only picked up off the table and our main courses were out. We bouth got pasta dishes with chicken. Mine had a tomato sauce and my partners was is a cream sauce. They were both completely tasteless and the chicken was like rubber. Having ate very little of our main courses we were not even asked if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. We sat there with the practically full plates in front of us for about 20 mins before they were taken away and they were only taken away because we asked for the bill.
Would never go back and would not recomment at all..

3.0 Il Primo Italian Restaurant 3.0 star review:
Food average, service largely indifferent. Atmosphere rather noisy.
Two problems with the bill - we were charged more than it said on the menu for a kid's pizza, the explanations offered by staff were barely comprehensible. We were also charged more for ice cream than it said on the menu, the explanation given was that we had seen the lunchtime menu, although we were dining in the evening! Why should ice cream be more expensive in the evening, and why were we shown the lunchtime menu in the first place?
I don't think we'll be going back.

Very impressed with this restaurant. One of the few decent places to eat in Ross. Food is lovely and have been back for many different occasions.

3.5 Il Primo Italian Restaurant 3.5 star review:
We've been here loads of times for family occasions and continue to go back as it's the only half decent place to eat in the centre of the town that is not an oriental. The service is good and friendly and the food is generally reasonably well cooked and presented. The problem with this place for me is that I'm bored of the menu. Then again, maybe that's my fault.

This is not the best Italian I have ever eaten in but there are a lot better. The food was distinctly average and the atmosphere was not up to much.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions. Always found the food excellent. I usually have Pizza. The fresh complementary bread is excellent! Lasange is very good. Always find the staff very nice and helpful.
