It's worth noting for reviews that this hotel has both a bar and a separate restaurant. This review pertains to the restaurant. We booked the current deal of 2 * starter, main course, desert and bottle of wine for 50 euro and the meal was excellent. The set menu had practically everything that was on the A La Carte, service was prompt and the quality was excellent.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night. We had lunch in the millrace bar. We were one of two tables in the restaurant and ordered soup and tea. The soup was fine- the tea never made it to the table however made it to the bill! We then had dinner in the same place. Service was better and the food was good. I had a chicken burger and my boyfriend had a beef burger. Both were lovely and I wasnt able to finish the burger, the waiter was happy to wrap it up for us and allowed us to bring it to the room for a snack later! The room was lovely but so so warm and there was only about three channels on the tele which was a big downfall because there was no wifi either. Overall it was fine for one night but wouldn't return, especially as it was meant to be four star!

Myself and my husband stayed at the Millrace hotel for three nights so had lunch at the Mill Bar which consisted of Toasted sandwiches and side salad which is very well priced and beautifully presented. I found the service to be very efficient and the staff were very friendly we also ate dinner in the bistro on one evening which is very casual an suitable for a less formal night out as this is basic bistro bar food again service was efficient and staff very friendly.
