Stayed over night here on saturday as part of our deal we received dinner in the resturant, soup to start with was excellant Thai Sweet potatoe which I thoroughly enjoyed served with lovely home made fresh bread rolls an assortment of flavours, unfortunately the main did not live up to the starters and would have preferred just another bowl of soup. for main I got Seabass roulade stuffed with spinach mozarella & peppers served with potatoes & veg, the fish was inedible tasted like i had been frozen months ago it had a rubber texture but was totally tastless I just left it . Staff were very nice attentive but not intrusive, they did ask was there a problem with the fish I didn't complain as I was full from the soup and the veg & potatoes.

Great service for a large group. We had a family celebration at the restaurant and were treated extremely well all night - from initial apertifs through to deserts. The meal was fab, but I thought the room lacked a little atmosphere. They make a massive effort to please all types of diners - vegetarians, and those with special dietary requirements, so that is a great plus. I had a steak followed by a cheese plate and both were excellent. Overall everyones meals were cooked to perfection and a great night was had by all!

I got a great deal on package for bed & breakfast and one evening meal on Saturday in the Temple Spa. As part of the package it included a set 3 course meal in the restaurant. At a first glance the set menu seemed limited with game bird pate, soup or salad to start and sea bass, bean stew or pork for main course. There was an a la carte menu also but we decided to stick to the set menu so I ordered the game bird pate and sea bass and my friend had the salad and pork. The pate was strong but delicious and the salad was lovely and fresh but could have done with more dressing. Both main courses were excellent and the presentation was impressive. Desserts were a little disappointing. I had blueberry and almond tart which was served cold and I think it would have been nicer heated. My friend had crème brulee which was lovely but it was served with a shot glass of very strong cinnamon flavoured drink which was stomach churning. Overall it was a very enjoyable. Breakfast the next morning was probably the best I've ever had. Lets just say I rolled out of the restaurant between homemade breads, fruit, homemade muesli and scrambled eggs with salmon. I would certainly recommend Temple Spa as a restaurant but if you can stay overnight it is a special treat.
