Di Bella Restaurant 5.0 star review: Very surprised to read some negative reviews about Di Bella . We normally eat here about twice a month over the summer season because we go boating in the area.
Staff are always polite and attentive.
The food is fantastic and always served very promptly. Prices and very reasonable.
This is our favourite Italian restaurant that we eat in.

Di Bella Restaurant 3.0 star review: I have worked in the hotel and catering industry for many years and have spent many years in Italy enjoying the food and drink. One of the most important things for me is to be made feel welcome, on this first visit it didnt happend. The girl who meet us was unpleasent and gave a bad first impression of the restaurant, the other girl was unable to communicate properly made alot of unnecessary noise and one of the things that really disturbed me was watching this girl givening out to her colleague behind the counter in front of customer and speaking loudly in an other language.In this restaurant it lacked one important factor- team work and an example which I wittnessed was when the waiter ask this grumpy girl to help with making coffees as he served desserts for a group of people, she just started to give out and make a fool of herself infornt of other customers, this to me is very disturbing to see in a service industry. The only person that was professional about his job was the waiter, the food was ok, pasta was overcooked, calamari not properly cooked,salad that was over priced. I would like to say that the premise was lovely and if the service and more professional approach changed it would be a fantastic business and lovely treat of Italian culture.

Di Bella Restaurant 4.0 star review: I have visited here on numerous occasions for lunch. This time I was there with 2 young children. The food was tasty- we had a mixture of pizza and pasta dishes between us and the service was quick, exactly what is needed when you have to try and entertain 2 hungry boys. I would have no problems going back here again

Di Bella Restaurant 3.0 star review: Ate here as part of a group, so the atmosphere was mostly made by us, have marked down the atmosphere though as the restaurant was stifling hot for the evening despite several requests for more AC, or other window to be opened. The food, out of the group i heard more negative than positive which is disappointing as many of us had ate there before, and simply expected better. The sauce on buffalo wings, looked like it had been watered down, the crispy calamari was not crispy as it was just slightly under done, could have been given one or two more moments in fryer. The simplest starter a salad seemed to cause some confusion, as it only arrived when some people had finished theres, and the veal was fatty and tough, not at all what you would expect when ordering veal. That being said the calzone pizza was good. I've marked the service and value as average, there was nothing special about either aspect to warrant a better score, and at the same time nothing bad in either one to deserve any lower score. In summary not altogether sure i would go back, there are plenty of good restaurants in Athlone all looking for business, and my experience in Di Bella has not sold me on it.

Di Bella Restaurant 4.0 star review: This is a very plain restaurant but I've eaten here quite often for both lunch and dinner over the last four years and I can honestly say I've never been disappointed. Excellent pizza, great pasta dishes, and there's a chicken Marsala dish that I love and will continue to come back for!
