The photo must be an old one, as the front of this establishment is now painted emerald green, and bears the name Mac's Bar, with the Bonne Bouche Bistro being upstairs. The exterior is actually charming in a quaint sort of way, but the charm ends there......My husband and I went up the stairs and should have turned and come back down, but were too embarrassed to do so. The decor is outdated to put it kindly, very old and grubby carpet, sagging and stained velvet armchairs and low tables. It seems to me as if it wasn't working as a pub, so they diversified to a "Bistro", but just moved the existing furniture and fittings around a bit. We had a bowl of soup and a roll which were passable, but all in all, it was not a pleasant experience.
