47 Bistro 4.0 star review: Have eaten here on several occasions but had lunch twice during christmas week and while the food was delicious as always, i found the service lacking. Although it wasn't busy, there was a delay in being served, staff seemed preoccupied with cutlery etc. Cannot fault the food however, sandwiches, fishcakes etc all lovely, just think the staff need to smile more & make an effort to be friendlier. Also the ladies toilet & sink could have been much cleaner as i think this is an important factor in an overall dining experience.

47 Bistro 4.5 star review: Greay little restaurant, Ive been a few times before and have always been enjoyed it. Really reasonable prices and the staff are always great. I love the steak ciabatta

47 Bistro 2.0 star review: Having read all the good reviews we deliberately sought this restaurant out on a visit to Waterford. 4 of us took a chance and walked in off the street at 7.45 on a Saturday evening. They could accomodate us if we waited a little while. 15 minutes later we were seated at a table that had been free since we arrived on the proviso that they would not be able to take our order for at least 15 minutes. This seemed strange as the restaurant was by no means full. 20 minutes later we asked if they could take our order and were met with what seemed like a monumental decision between a number of members of staff. Bottom line: the place is nice, food is OK and reasonably priced but the kitchen seems incapable of coping with it's existing numbers of covers and the staff were at best abrupt. I wouldn't rush back.

47 Bistro 4.0 star review: Lovely little place, attentive staff. Ordered the roast of the day which was turkey & ham and it was a nice sized portion, was very tasty and wasnt overly full afterwards. Had room for the sticky toffee pudding, which as I think another reviewer has pointed out, it is actually a slice of toffee cake, was very tasty but a little dry towards the outer edge of the slice, but very moist in the centre.

47 Bistro 4.5 star review: Lovely little place, good service- no complaints there.
I have two little quibbles- I ordered the steak and prawn sizzler which was lovely but the rice on the side was a tad overdone. The middle of the ball of rice was fused solid and totally inedible.

I ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert and I got a slice of toffee cake, which was nice enough if a little dry but was definately not sticky toffee pudding.

47 Bistro 4.0 star review: Excellent all round. Very good starter of brie parcels and sizzling chicken for mains. We dined as a group of 6 and we all thought the meal was excellent.

Very good value for money would recommend.Lovely atmosphere. Average wine list. Great espresso
