we had the Ploughmans Platter and Serrano Ham & Figs. Tjh platter weas great with superb cheese while the ham and baby figs were top class. I was a bit surporiese dby the the portion of sourdough with both (and thought there was no need to toast the bread like crostini. W ebought tow jars of the marinarted baby figs in the deli ae they were absolutely gorgeous.

Very Enjoyable. Quiet initially as I think only locals know it is open in the evenings Thurs to Sat incl. Same menu as during day which was perfect for us as it was our first visit. Perfect also that the prices are the same as during the day so very good value for a Sat night. Bruschetta excellent with mouth watering Ardsalagh cheese. Peppers good too, as was the salami dish , sour dough bread toasted was lovely but not enough but we never thought to ask for more. Humus was a large portion and definitly tasted homemade and fresh citrusy. Mains : pork belly was finger licking good with lovely crackling ,veg caserole good but fruity, pasta dish was only fair , sausage was allyou could wish for incl onion marmelade and herb potatoe cakes. The wine was where it came in to its own when you can buy any of the bottles from the deli and for only 4 euro extra have it with your meal. We went for the Chateau Neuf de pape and it was so good we bought an extra bottle as a present.Coffe was the real thing too , I hate hugh cups of milky coffee pretending to be cappuchinos they certainly didnt make that mistake here. The sevice was slighhtly slow but suited us as we were out for a relaxing meal . The other surprise is the magical large garden at the back, mixed herbaceous flower border with veg and salad interspersed . I will be back.

Called in for a lazy luch, just as well we had the time. service, while very good was extremely slow. The menu looks really good and there is loads of choice for vegetarians. Friend had the veggie burger and it was fabulous, served on a bagel, mixture of salads. She also chose the creamy root veg, literally root veg in butter and cream! I ordered the large nicoise, as i was informed the small portion came on a flat plate, while the large in a bowl. The sald was very dissappointing, undressed leaves, in a samll bowl, not worth the 15.50. When we asked for a slice of choclate cake, jokingly asking for a large piece we were told they would have to charge more?! The cake was dry and crumby, needed more than a cup of tea. While the food was not hectic by any means, nor the seervice, the setting is loevly, but i won't be venturing here again, it too bloody expensive.
