We (two couples) were staying in the hotel for the weekend and had dinner in the hotel included for the first night. Brought to a nice table and given menus. After asking waiter for clean cultlery (food still on my unused fork) and a replacement glass (mine was cracked with coke dripping through it), the extremaly nervous waiter took our order, in doing so asked to to be nice as he was having so many problems with orders......Good begining, After a while starters arrived, very nice no complaints. Bree was cooked perfect. Then on to mains. The steak was not included in the deal so I agreed to pay an suppliment of €8. My MEDIUM steak arrived. It was sooooo overcooked. Brown in the middle and rough as anything. So asked for it be taken back as I wanted Medium. After 25 minutes (my friends all finished main meal) I asked where my steak was. Was told the it would be another 3 minutes as to be sure it was cooked through, I mentioned to the nervous waiter that its Medium so why cooked through? He just laughed....I was being serious. Another 10 minutes later it arrived burned to a crisp on the outside and flowing blood on the inside. Manager was immediatly called to the table and surpirisng admitted they had forgot about it and threw it on at last minute. At this stage it was 10.30 (dinner booked for 8) and my appitate was gone. Manager offered me a free meal tomorrow night (not my friends just me) I polietly declined to eat dinner on my own in even a good restraunt never mind this one. So a free meal for me and my partner in the bar next door was provided the next night. Would I return? That would be a definite NO.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff and great food - pity about the rest of the hotel - do not stay here!!!
