Was looking forward to visiting this well known restaurant near Lough Derg while finishing up a cruising holiday on the river shannon. Terryglass is a really nice little village just off the lake with a good choice of bars and restaurants. We opted for the Derg inn as the menus looked the best and there were a lot of awards on display outside. Interior is very nice and comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive as well. We opted for three main courses, two had the scampi basket with chips and one the southern fried chicken with mash. Food was a bit basic for the prices charges, the mash was very runny and luke warm. The scampi had way too much batter. Not sure would go back as there are other restaurants on offer in the village as well which I would try the next time.

Very slow service. Good atmosphere. The food wasn't great as our mains came out and were almost eaten by the time the sides arrived. We got 3 potatoes to share among 4 people. Wont be back

Menu prices extortionate. Toilets not fit for public use. Food was bland. Attitude of management leaves a lot to be desired. Staff were friendly. Halloween decorations (cobwebs!!) not appreciated. Avoid at all costs.
