Had a fantastic New Years eve lunch with my wife. Food was outstanding with very fresh flavours from the organic ingredients used. Service was very nicely paced for a couple looking for a lazy luch over a bottle of wine. Fresh hot bread out of the oven to start, goats cheese salad starter and pan fried hake main course were all beautiful. The only negative I would have is that the table space does feel cramped - we were at a table for 2 with a table for 6 beside us - people sitting at this table had the back of their chairs practically against our table which was a little off putting especially when they had long hair...

CONSISTENCY is the key word here re delicious food, wide choices in all the courses, smiling, helpful staff, superb value for money.I keep returning to it and have sampled everything on the menu. Each visit is a delightful, culinary experience and has never failed to please in all its areas. I wish its owners would furnish us with a cookery book - food is so gorgeous. I enjoyed wholesome mushroom soup with homemade breads, organic loin of succulent pork on a bed of full-flavoured red cabbage and lots of fresh veg on the above date. Amonst my favoutite meals is their coronation chicken, lamb cutlets and all their fresh seafood dishes. Desserts are irresistible.I love the iced nougat, chock mousse, their rare bread and butter pudding and home-made ice cream. I bring a tupperware in order to take a second one away! Can't do this café justice. My slight grouse would be -is to find a seat at lunch time- it fills up so quickly and also that it doesn't open on Sunday or Monday..

Went there for a late lunch and it was my first time in there. I had heard great things about the place and it rang true. Food was tasty, extensive menu and lovely staff. It was quiet when we arrived in but it got very busy then. No music from what I can recall but inside decor was nice. We were waiting ages for our food but it was fabulous and we got some really nice bread while we were waiting. I will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone to try, just make sure you're not in a rush!!
