I visited ryans daughter restaurant last saturday. Me and my husband were greatly suprised when we found such a great little restaurant down a one way street just of the square. We were greeted by the owner with a personal welcome, even though we had never been at this restaurant before, we were treated like regulars with complementary tea after our meal, and also we were approched by the very friendly staff who looked after us well. Very warm, home-like feel to this restaurant and a great representation of irish culture and heritage. There was no waiting around for food the floor staff were very quick on serving all customers, even though the restaurant was very busy at the time, the food was simply amazing!The only downfall i have is that i was too full for desert!

First discovered "Ryan's Daughter" about a year ago while Christmas shopping. Was out with my other half and toddler. We were too late to go home and make dinner so happened upon it. We all had a hearty meal. I would say it's like a dinner your Mam would make and I mean this in the best possible way. You will have a guilt free (ish!) square meal. We've been back many times since. Some of the waitresses can appear disinterested at times and lacking in motivation but the owner is fabulous. He is friendly and welcoming. He brings free tea/coffee after dinner-really adding to the "homely" feel. I was a little disappointed last week though when I went in at 5.05 and my other half was to follow in at 5.15. I asked if we ordered could we have dinner. I was told as long as I was out by 5.55pm that was fine as they closed at 6. I would've been conscious of this anyway but to hear it being pointed out, to me, reflects badly on the service.
