Our large family group met for a birthday celebration meal in Taj, and having sampled plenty of what the extensive menu had to offer, were very impressed with the variety and quality of the food on offer. It was a pity that the great food is not matched by either atmosphere or decor - poor crockery and decoration, served with the occasional loud blast of modern pop music, might have explained why only three tables were occupied on a Saturday night. Service was rather inattentive despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy. This was a pity because the food was authentic and tasty. I'd recommend the Taj for a good meal, but maybe not for a special or celebratory evening.
