We visited the Clositer Restaraunt at the Abbey Hotel in Nenagh for a Valetine dinner. We were accompanied by our young daughter. The ambience was perfect from the music to the petals on the table and the hearts hanging up. The food was superb. We were offered a delicious Amuse bouche a complimentary dish which consisted of a small pancake with a delicious creamy vegetable mouse it was really lovely. As were the starters, main course, sorbet, dessert and coffee. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne. It was a lovely experience and made all the better by the fact that our daughter was treated like royalty if we were having a course she was offered something also which was a really nice touch. Well done Clositers we will be visiting again in the near future.

excellent food but at a hefty price, ate here with two other friends and apart from the price we were all impressed, had the "seriously spicy chicken wings" and i have to say they are not over exagerating its advisable to have a drink handy, unfortunatley you only get 5 of them on your plate, had the cheese and bacon burger for mains and it was very tasty, with 2 pints the bill came to €33 each which i thought was more belonging to dublin city not nenagh

Don't be put off by the strange decor....the monks???? Food superb and great service. Would not have expected to find a restaurant of this caliber in a small town like this. This has to be one of the best dining experiences in Ireland.
