4.0 Osta Cafe & Wine bar 4.0 star review:
Lovely cafe in lovely setting overlooking rushing water of the river, with really good food (divine cakes!) and nice staff. We ordered the special, tuna bruschetta (described as tuna and olives on ciabatta) - I was envisaging toasted ciabatta with tuna and olives on top of it, but when it arrived it was in fact a kind of tuna and olive tapenade with a pate type of consistency that had been cooked somehow on the ciabatta, which was a bit too hard for me. When I said I thought it was not as described and a bit too hard the staff could not have been nicer, offering me an alternative - we chose a delicious egg mayonnaise sandwich, followed by one of the most exquisitely moist and berry juice infused layered victoria sponge cakes (with strawberries and cream) that it has ever been my pleasure to taste, and a lovely strawberry tarte - yum yum!!! They also do some of their own food stuffs, such as apple jelly. Will definitely return when next in Sligo...

BEST CAPPUCCINO in town, by far.
I LOVE sitting beside the Garavogue river outside on a sunny day with a cappuccino and a friend. I do this at least once a week. :>
I enjoy the chicken and almond salad, and the yoghurt with mixed berry compote and a hint of cinnamon, and the croques monsieur. Ah, youm. Also, the almond croissants are rather wonderful. Fresh squeezed OJ is also available.

3.5 Osta Cafe & Wine bar 3.5 star review:
This cafe has a lovely setting overlooking the river with an interesting menu. Service was a little slow on a Sunday morning when it was not that busy but food was good quality and did the trick. Like the look of the Jazz brunch advertised and was disappointed I could not stay longer to try that out.
