Spicy christmas biscuits
Homemade biscuits smell and taste wonderful, especially at Christmas time. This is an easy recipe that the kids will enjoy helping you with...if you want to make a bigger batch then just double the mixture!

Ingredients
- 225g/8oz plain flour
- 175g/6oz margarine
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Half teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 60g/2oz castor sugar
- Little extra caster or icing sugar for dusting
Method
- Heat oven to 180C/gas mark 4
- Weigh flour and sieve onto a plate
- Weigh margarine and sugar and place in a large mixing bowl
- Add cinnamon and nutmeg and beat together until smooth and creamy
- Add sieved flour, one tablespoonful at a time until all ingredients are mixed together. Use your hands (washed in warm soapy water) to make the dough into a ball
- Place the ball of dough on a floured workshop and flatten slightly. Roll out to 1cm thick
- Cut into shapes with cookie cutters, if you don't have these then just use a glass or a mug
- Place the cookie on a greased baking tray and bake for 10 - 15minutes until a pale golden
- Remove from baking tray onto a cooling rack and sprinkle with a little more castor sugar. Cool completely and store in an airtight tin.
