Ingredients
- Lots of skirts! - trimmed of any fat.
- Suet
- Flour
- Carrots
- Parsnips
- Onions
- Mixed herbs
- Salt & Pepper
- Water
Method
- Cut the skirts into bite size chunks. Put in a pot.
- Add carrots, parsnips and onions. Bring to the boil & then simmer until skirts are cooked.
- Mix 50:50 suet and flour in a bowl. add mixed herbs, salt & pepper.
- Bind together with water to form a dough & roll into several small balls (slightly bigger than golf ball size)
- Put the dumplings in the stew to cook.
- When all is cooked, serve with mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!
