Have visited Jamies on several occasions but this was my most recent. We had booked a table for a 30th birthday party. As always, we got served promptly despite the fact that the restaurant was heaving at just gone 6pm. The service and food were faultless. We had given the manageress a birthday cake which was brought out for the birthday girl upon our request. A great evening was had by all and I would highly recommend Jamies to anyone.

Visited on a Friday evening. The place was busy when we arrived but seemed to empty after the early birds were finished. The place is typical new development with no special decor to give it character. Ideal place to have plenty of chatter as layout is generous and large. Two of us shared the garlic mushrooms for starters which were nice. I had the sirloin which was not amazing and lacked seasoning. As they were out of shark she had the red snapper with stir fried vegetables which she enjoyed and was lovely. We were glad some more vegetables came included with our mains and some creamed potatoes which were nice as we would be very hungry leaving otherwise. We shared the Apple Pie dessert which was the highlight of the evening. It was absolutely delicious. Overall it was a lovely evening and the staff was very astute and very observant of their customer which is a big plus. Menu could have a little more variety though.

Ate here last night. Was in just barely before seven and was allowed order from the set menu for €20 for me. A fair selection and at €20 not bad. €7 surcharge for the steak is a bit steep though. Boyfriend ordered three courses from the al a carte and had the steak. One beer, 2 cokes and two sides put the bill over €70 so definately not cheap eats! That said the atmosphere was nice (felt some dividers between the different areas would make it cosier) The service was cheerful and friendly (family run) and everything was clean and looked well. My chicken salad starter was a simple idea really well done. Chilli Chicken Stir Fry for main was served with halved tortillas which was a bit odd and messy. The Chicken could have done with being served in a bowl as it spread out over the plate but the taste was lovely. My side order of garlic potatoes was lack lustre but the chips we ordered were lovely and crispy which you don't normally get. The boyfriend had prawns to start which he enjoyed and a half a cow for mains! Served with Gaelic sauce he said the steak was lovely and the dog agreed for the leftovers. Meringue finished for both which was fine. Overall lovely food but for special occasions only i think!
