Wonderful food, wine, service. Just such a shame about the restaurant itself- the hotel is no great shakes either. Decorated like a 1970's sitting room.... :( But the food is GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!

Stayed for a weekend break and went to the restaurant every night (for three nights). They provide a set menu each night with a great variety of starters and main courses. Each course was broken up with little treats in between such as an amouse nouche, pre deserts etc. The quality of the food was fantastic and the service was excellent, attentive and not intrusive. The only thing was the restaurant was very quiet but it was the start of Jan so was expected. I would recommend it for anyine in the area. It has a recommendation from the Michelin Guide and it is well worth it. I recommend!!

Packet soup! How can a restaurant with such a reputation serve packet soup for lunch? Even cheap cafes don't resort to this so I am totally puzzled by this. The rest of the lunch was very good but I am still scratching my head trying to figure this one out!
