4.5 Snaffles Brasserie 4.5 star review:
We went here as part of an overnight deal, and didn't really know what to expect. We had the set menu, which had a wide selection to choose from. I had crab in pancake rolls to start, with Creme Fraiche. The flavours were very clean, and it was well executed. I followed this with fillet steak in a red wine sauce, which was again well executed. The kitchen is open, so you can see the chefs work and it was clear they knew what they were doing. My wife had the saddle back pork, which she loved.
She followed this with the raspberry gratin, which was a little odd but it worked very well. I had the choux pastry with chestnut filling, which was also well done if not exactly to my taste. The whole meal was very relaxed, and the quality was exceptional.

4.0 Snaffles Brasserie 4.0 star review:
Myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed our break in this little gem that is Castle Leslie. We stayed for a romantic weekend and ate at Snaffles on Sat night. The food was amazing - compliments to the chef! i had the remoulade for starters, followed by pear sorbet, baked chicken breast for main, crepe suzette with vanilla ice cream for dessert and rounded it off with a nice cup of coffee - all this totalled EUR55 - special dinner menu! Thouroughly enjoyed all of them. Food very well presented and healthy portions! My girlfriend only had a main (baked chicken breast) as she wasnt particularly hungry. She thought it was delicious also. Service was excellent.
However the only thing that slightly spoiled our evening was the fact that we were both charged the dinner menu of EUR55 apiece - even though my girlfriend only had the main!!! I did point this out to the waiter and he acknowledged & apologised for his mistake and amended the bill accordingly. We would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to return :)
