La Bucca & Novello 5.0 star review: We dined here just over 2 weeks ago, while we were visiting friends in Ratoath.
There were 4 in our party.
The food was to die for. I had the biggest jumbo prawns ever. They were delicious.
The service and attention by the staff was perfect. The price was very reasonable. We will be going back to Ratoath in 3 weeks and I am alreadylooking forward to it.
Well done La Buca.

La Bucca & Novello 5.0 star review: This restaurant ticks all the boxes. I went here with my husband and three kids on a Sunday afternoon. It is very child friendly with an excellent kiddie menu. The place was buzzing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous with a very extensive menu and the best part was the value for money. It was only 59 euros in total for 3 courses for the kids and two for us. We will definitely be back.

La Bucca & Novello 5.0 star review: I visited this restaurant after seeing it mentioned in the Sunday Independant as best restaurant in Meath and it definitely lived up to expectations. The menu is extensive and suits all tastes. The service was fantastic, the waiter was so attentive. Our glasses were just empty when he offered refills. The food itself was amazing-the beef and asparagus pasta is out of this world. the atmosphere was good, it was busy and bustling. Its slightly out of the way for me but it was worth the trip, I will definitely be returning!

La Bucca & Novello 3.0 star review: I went for dinner at the La Bucca restaurant in Dunboyne. It has only recently opened and everyone was recommending it. It was late when we decided to go but we got a table no problem (even though it did seem busy). I ordered pasta and my other half ordered the chicken with a mushroom, only to be told here was no plan chicken left. I got the goats cheese crostini (which were a bit too crusty I could barely bite into them) and he got the chicken wings - only to discover his main course chicken had the exact same sauce. It was a bit much and should have been advised. I though the bill was a bit steep for the quality of food we received! my pasta was prawns in a creamy port sauce which tasted like a pot of avonmore cream had just been dropped into it! Overall I was disappointed but said I would return to give it another try.

La Bucca & Novello 4.0 star review: I love this place. Living locally means we frequent this place a lot!It is always busy at weekends and the food is always excellent. The pasta and pizza dishes are great and there are regular specials to choose from. Staff are nice. Take away service is also very handy and there are some good deals during the week.

La Bucca & Novello 5.0 star review: Any time I have been here, I have had a great time. It is quite difficult to get a table on a Sunday if you walk in, so it would be best to reserve a table. I like the way you can see into the kitchen too, it gives it a great atmosphere. I was once here for my friends birthday and they provided us with our own set meal, which was a really nice touch. I loved the pasta, especially the spicy tomato pasta sauce! I have never had a bad meal here.

La Bucca & Novello 3.0 star review: La Bucca Ratoath, where the Customer is never right!
I went for a meal in this Restaurant recently with a group of friends,The place had a nice atmosphere, and very enthusiastic waiting staff.
I had my starter which was nice. The problem started when I returned my main which was a beef burger that was Very pink. The Waiter was very friendly, and took it away without question. Then a manager of sorts came and asked me what my problem was with it. I explained that it was Very pink (uncooked) and that I did not want to eat it. He insisted that it was cooked, and that I was wrong(big no no ) He then asked me to come into the kitchen where he could show me it was fully cooked.(all in front of friends). I asked him if he thought I was stupid, and I didnt know the differance between cooked and uncooked, to whick he replied, I was wrong. After he left the table, the people sitting beside me said how shocked they were with his reaction, and how RUDE he was.Nobody should be made to look like a fool in front of friends by anybody, never mind a manager of a restaurant. If you dont like your food here, just grin and bear it,or suffer the consequences. He is a let down to an otherwise good Restaurant. Those in my company said they wouldn't return, nor will I.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
