Food, service and atmosphere all great. Started with a sharing portion of the wings. We both had burgers for our main courses. Highly recommend the strawberry meringue sundae for dessert!

La Bucca is my favourite Meath restaurant for casual dining. The food and service are top notch. I prefer mid-week dining to weekend dining though because the restaurant can get very noisy at busy times.

From our experience, this restaurant looked the part, but we felt a little let down. We had heard great things so decided to visit on a weekday evening. Unfortunately for us, the place was crammed with post-communion families. The floor-staff were overworked, and were struggling to cater for the numbers in the restaurant. The noise of so many kids in the restaurant didn't help when trying to get the attention of staff. The pasta was actually good but the burger was quite mediocre.

We dined here just over 2 weeks ago, while we were visiting friends in Ratoath. There were 4 in our party. The food was to die for. I had the biggest jumbo prawns ever. They were delicious. The service and attention by the staff was perfect. The price was very reasonable. We will be going back to Ratoath in 3 weeks and I am alreadylooking forward to it. Well done La Buca. Alan

This restaurant ticks all the boxes. I went here with my husband and three kids on a Sunday afternoon. It is very child friendly with an excellent kiddie menu. The place was buzzing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous with a very extensive menu and the best part was the value for money. It was only 59 euros in total for 3 courses for the kids and two for us. We will definitely be back.

This is a must for Italian lovers. The chicken wings are the best around. Anytime we are in Ratoath my son ask can we go to La Bucca, so he can have the crab claws. The staff are excellent & the make kids very welcome. If you like good food & are taking the kids look no further the La Bucca.

I visited this restaurant after seeing it mentioned in the Sunday Independant as best restaurant in Meath and it definitely lived up to expectations. The menu is extensive and suits all tastes. The service was fantastic, the waiter was so attentive. Our glasses were just empty when he offered refills. The food itself was amazing-the beef and asparagus pasta is out of this world. the atmosphere was good, it was busy and bustling. Its slightly out of the way for me but it was worth the trip, I will definitely be returning!

I went for dinner at the La Bucca restaurant in Dunboyne. It has only recently opened and everyone was recommending it. It was late when we decided to go but we got a table no problem (even though it did seem busy). I ordered pasta and my other half ordered the chicken with a mushroom, only to be told here was no plan chicken left. I got the goats cheese crostini (which were a bit too crusty I could barely bite into them) and he got the chicken wings - only to discover his main course chicken had the exact same sauce. It was a bit much and should have been advised. I though the bill was a bit steep for the quality of food we received! my pasta was prawns in a creamy port sauce which tasted like a pot of avonmore cream had just been dropped into it! Overall I was disappointed but said I would return to give it another try.
