I used to live in Dunboyne and have visited this restaurant many many times. I recently moved away from Dunboyne and went back for pre Christmas dinner and drinks with the girls. The food here is pretty good (far be it exceptional) & the service is always very attentive and friendly however I think it offers really bad value for money. Since I have known it they have never changed their menu, never offer any special deals and given the current economic climate they really need to re evaluate their pricing strategy. A new similar style restaurant has opened in Dunboyne which I'm hoping might shake Da Panza up a little.

My partner and I dropped in here at 5pm on a Saturday. Feeling very lazy and hung over we both had a craving for a nice Italian so decided to give Da Panzas a try. We were both very glad we did. We arrived at 5pm on the dot so they were only really setting up however there was a nice warm/cosy ambience. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo (and asked for chicken to be included in the dish which was no problem whatsoever), and my partner opted for the Rigatoni Cacciatora. While the wait was a little longer that we would have liked(although we are exceptionally impatient diners), this was understandable as it was obvious when the dishes arrived that everything was fresh. Both pasta dishes were beautiful, the Alfredo was lovely and creamy and the Cacciatora was equally delicious. We didn't bother with drinks or dessert but will definitely be returning at some stage to sample the starters and desserts. Oh and the service was excellent. I felt as if they really cared if we enjoyed our meal. I'm giving 4.5 stars with the half star being lost for value.

Beautiful Restaurant, Lovely staff. Food lovely, however ridiculously over priced for a small country restaurant in the middle of a recession. Bruchetta was at least 6euro, one small slice of bread with garlic and tomato. Steaks were 25.99 each. All fish dishes were 23.99 + Far too much to pay in this day and age at 8pm on a Tuesday night !
