Caffrey's has been awarded the Best Gastropub in Meath 2011 by RAI. Caffreys was acquired in 2007 by a local publican family, the O'Malleys, and refurbished to a very high standard, maintaining the pubs timeless simplicity where patrons were still looked after in a warm and relaxing atmosphere which is unique to this establishment. Caffreys is renowned for its excellent food and beverages which are served daily. Our cuisine could be described as old traditions enlivened by innovative and exciting twists using only the best locally sourced produce available and there is a chef special every evening. A warm decor is punctuated with old world touches - old fire places and stoves, fine mirrors and pictures, elegant antique furniture, candles and memorabilia. Our Traditional Bar offers the relaxed atmosphere of the Old Irish Pub with friendly smiles and lively conversation. Traditional Irish Music Sessions is a must every Thursday night in the Bar.

I eat in Caffrey's regularly for lunch and dinner. I really love it. It has to be the nicest pub in Ireland. Really fabulous old world interior. Excellent food always. Exceptionally friendly staff. I love Caffrey's! Looking forward to my next visit!

I wouldn't normally submit a review for breakfast but this is no ordinary breakfast at Caffreys. I stopped just before lunchtime in this gem of a place and was undecided what to order so ordered the safe bet- the breakfast. I have to say it was the best breakfast I have ever had. Extra touches like fried potatoes, softly fried eggs, perfectly grilled mushrooms made it extra special. The service was second to none and I'll definitely be back. Fantastic. Great. Brilliant.

arrived late afternoon after travelling from Mayo, stopped by chance and we were pleasantly surprised by the choice and range of food offer here. Had a lovely meal, the children enjoyed there meal as much as we did. Great value and well worth returning to, we have told many of our friends and family also.
