Second visit to this hotel and I have to say that my lunch at this restaurant was suprisingly good. The cafe/restaurant was very busy but we found a table. I was in a rush and was served immediatly. I ordered a salad and was given a generous choice of very good quality salads and greens. My partner ordered a pasta. Both dishes impressed us in taste, presentation and freshnes. I wont say this catering is inventive or creative enough for me but I will commend the quality and price. And this comes from some one will never again eat in the main restaurant in the same hotel. And I will say that the cafe is comfortable and the coffee good. Well done. The previous reviewer has a point. I dont so much feel that the lack of service is a staff problem. I feel that it is a managment and training issue. So do I reccomend this cafe. Well yes, I suppose it is my second favourite place to go for a coffee when visiting the area.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was very disappointed by the range of food and the prices. The place was cold and although the hotel and seating etc are very nice, the condiments etc on the table were dirty. I had a salad plate and a latte afterwards, which was slightly cold. I have visited the cafe on numerous previous occasions as its location is excellent and it is comfortable, but on this occasion I was unimpressed with the selection of food.
