Very, very disappointing. We were expecting Eden, Temple Bar standards. Instead, we got very mediocre food. Just one vegetarian starter and one main - so no choice. Starter was microwaved - not a treatment that improves pastry. Left most on the plate - no interest from waitress. I complained that the main course was not heated evenly - the message back from the kitchen was that this was not possible! Good creme brulee with stale biscotti. This was lazy food, poorly conceived and badly executed. The friendly and attentive service of staff can't make up for the deficits of the kitchen. Grubby glasses, not matched for the reasonably expensive and very nice wine, further let the place down. Although, astonishingly, no prices are shown on the menu, this turned out to be a fixed price menu of €35. Food this poor would have been expensive at half the price.

Ate at Eden as part of a 1night stay with Dinner and B & B. Have to say the food was delicious. I had breast of pheasant to start, followed by pan seared cod with risotto and for dessert a lovely creme brulee. I could not fault any of it. My other half's steak was to die for. Great atmosphere in the restaurant set in the old cellers of the house. I'd definately go to Bellinter again just to eat in this restaurant.

I was so disappointed with Eden, I'm a massive fan of it's Dublin branch, in fact I think I'd say it's one of my very favourite restaurants. I thought it was going to be of the same quality but unfortunately the food just wasn't the same at all. I had scallops to start which were nice to be fair. However my lamb main course was very average - chewy and hard to cut. I'm not a huge fan of lamb but I order it at Eden because I know it will melt off the bone - this certainly was not the case in the Bellinter branch. Also it's in a basement, the complete opposite of the airy glass panelled Dublin Eden. Breakfast was DIRE! We went at 10.40, breakfast was until 11am - literally they didn't have a thing left......no juice, no croissants, no jam. When I asked, it was all delivered, but I feel they should keep supplying until breakfast was finished. Also the hot food that we ordered was luke warm, like they had just taken it off a buffet in the kitchen. Beautiful hotel, Eden needs to pull up it's socks.
