Cosy Joes is a nice pub with friendly staff - it calls itself a gastro pub but it is a long way from that. We had a steak sandwich and fish and chips. The steak 'sandwich' was oieces of overcooked, tough steak on a soft roll with frozen chips and a salad that looked like it had been made that morning. the fish was overcooked. My heart sank when I saw a group of French visitors coming in to try the 'gastropub'. The staff and service were great and we didn't even bother complaining as if they think that constiitutes gastro pub food they wouldn't have understood the complaint. it was 32 euor for 2 dinners and 2 pints.

ate in cosy joe's last week and have to say that there are far better places to eat in westport than this pub, we ordered toasted sandwiches and soups, something light after having climbed the reek.. the service was slow and the waitress really did not want to be there, even though there were about 4 tables waiting to order the waitress spent a good five minutes playing with the music system! But on the alternative the menu is cheap eats so i suppose it balances out overall.

Visited here for lunch. I ordered a toasted Chicken club sandwich, my wife ordered a BLT. Both sandwiches arrived untoasted. We sent them back back and both arrived out after been toasted. However everything was toasted, Lettuce, Mayonaisse, and tomato included. Everything had turned to mush and the tomato was piping hot to the point of being a hazard. I received and apology, but no discount. The experience and the food was dreadful, and I will never eat here again.
