The D 4.0 star review: We did eat here on a Sunday night,so the atmosphere wasn't great nor was the background music. My chowder was ok but there was way too much salmon and not enough varieties of other seafood, My husband had wings, he said they were good, but he didn't receive a water bowls, wipes or extra napkins, My cod was very good, my husband wasn't happy with the amount of pork belly he got and the veg were barely warm, My husband had the cheese cake which was very unusual . The staff were attentive.

The D 4.0 star review: Stayed here on a hen weekend. We got a great offer - €110 2nights B&B + 1 evening meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal was delicious and enjoyed by all. There wasn't much atmosphere in the bar on the Fri night but there was live music on the Sat night which was good craic. The rooms were lovely - clean and comfortable. Would def reccommend it.

The D 4.0 star review: We had a huge family group arriving mid-morning for late breakfast/early brunch; we were accomodated around one huge circular table, and our orders were taken without fuss or misunderstanding. Tea was produced, initially in small individual pots, but when we asked, a giant teapot was brought to the table, and re-filled several times during breakfast! All breakfasts were freshly cooked, served on warm plates, and service was excellent. Some of us stayed chatting around the table for some considerable time, and we were left in peace to do so.

Myself and partner have also had dinner here, and they do a €75 special, which is a four course dinner, including a bottle of wine, for two. Great food, good service.

The D 5.0 star review: Stayed here for a weekend, bedrooms and staff really nice. Food in resturant was top class and great value dinner for 2 and a bottle of wine for €70. Also had lunch in the bar and have to say the french onion soups is one of the best I've had anywhere even better than France!!!

The D 3.0 star review: A fabulous setting to enjoy a cocktail outside during the summer. Great live music at weekends. The food is very poor, for such a great setting I would have expected the food to be a lot better but don't let that put you off going in for a coffee or a drink. The staff are just ok, can be hit and miss. Overall it's worth giving a try just to experience it once.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
