La Pizzeria 5.0 star review: We went to La Pizzeria last Thursday, the weather was awful but you wouldn’t have known it as this place was packed to the rafters! The room and furnishings are nice and casual and tables are close together but with enough space so that you feel that your neighbour can’t listen in! There were three of us and we all had different starters and mains from the fairly compact menu. My friend’s minestrone soup and mixed salads were good but the star was definitely my garlic mushrooms, they were lovely – mushrooms pan fried in a yummy garlic butter and served with a very fresh side salad, simple and gorgeous! Both of my friends had pasta, a massive portion of lasagne for one and pasta with a tomato sauce for the other, they were both very happy! I had a pizza and it was nice too, I’d have preferred a thinner crust (but I can always request that next time I suppose), still it was very tasty. Our shared tiramisu was a bit too cold in temperature but it didn’t stop us finishing it and we rounded up with coffees. The bill for this feast, along with a half carafe plus an additional glass of wine was €78 and we felt that we got great value for our money. Service throughout was friendly and efficient, we’ll definitely be back and if you plan on going make sure that you book in advance!

La Pizzeria 5.0 star review: I took my husband for a birthday dinner in La Pizzeria as it is his favourite restaurant. Garlic bread to start which is georgeous and made freshly with the pizzas in view.Hubby always has the steak and always savours every mouthful and describes it as the best steak ever. House wine very good, service very good atmosphere relaxed but always busy. Consistently great food which is good to know your evening will be enjoyed and money well spent. The decor has not changed from boom to bust times but the food is what its all about. The menu is basic italian with pasta dishes, pizza. some chicken dishes and steaks. Not a huge dessert range unless you like tiramisu but that is lovely. I had a chicken dish in mushroom sauce with fries and it was delicious. As they say 'if its not broke don't fix it' and that's it with The Pizzeria as I said it's consistently good so you will always know what to expect. Located in the centre of town.

La Pizzeria 5.0 star review: Had family meal at La Pizzeria, had forgotten how good food is here. We all enjoyed our starters of mushrooms and garlic bread shared. Half pizza Isobel and half pasta dishes of carbonara & tortellini, (my son said 'best ever') along with breast of chicken with white wine sauce (non gluten sauce made). The half portions are plenty and allows you enjoy pizza too!! Too full for dessert. Busy buzz , we dined at 6.30 and the place was full. Consistently good, will return soon. Good value.

La Pizzeria 5.0 star review: We nearly despaired of finding a good late-night meal in Drogheda until we found La Pizzeria. The notice on the door said very firmly "Closed" -- but the chef, visible behind the window, waved us in ! We had a lovely pizza, hot and filled with anchovies and lots of cheese, followed by superb home-made tiramisu, and coffee -- and then a sambuca each ! The creamy layer on the tiramisu was especially nice, but a little more liqueur around the base would have made the whole sweet really perfect.
Service was excellent, friendly and chatty -- and also very efficient. The price was good too -- less than 40 Euro total for a shared pizza (a 12-inch pizza for each of us would have been too much to eat), half a carafe of wine, dessert, coffee and the sambuca.
Definitely to be recommended; and if we find ourselves in Drogheda again, we know where to go for a meal.

La Pizzeria 5.0 star review: Yum Yum Yum....that is the best way to describe La Pizzeria. I went here last night with a group of friends, the food was devine. We had booked our table for 9 o'clock to get the last sitting. We just had to wait a few minutes for our table to come free, there is not much waiting room though and we had to stand beside peoples tables who were eating. The restaurant is quiet small with tables close together but it makes up for this with the quality of food. Tables book out very quick so you usually need to book well in advance. To start I had the garlic bread with cheese which was delicious and for the main course I had Chicken in White Wine & Creamy Mushroom Sauce it was just mouth watering. Prices are very reasonable & I will surely return here in the future.

La Pizzeria 5.0 star review: This is my favourite place to eat outside of Sicily! I've been eating here for at least 20 years and have Never had a bad experience. The Pizzas are divine, handmade at the front of house, the aroma meets you halfway up the street and whets even the poorest of appetites. The steak is huge, tender and very tasty, the chicken Marsala is to die for and the wine list although short is well chosen and excellent value. Make sure you have a booking and only expect to have 2 - 2.30 hours at the table, the food is such good value that demand for tables is huge and you are not paying enough to hold the table all night.

La Pizzeria 4.0 star review: While other, more esteemed, reviewers may exclaim that Enniscorthy has the only REAL Italian restaurant in Ireland I would encourage all to take a look at La Pizzeria.

Having lived in Drogheda all my life, and never once crossing the threshold of this Peter Street eatery, I recently took the plunge on a sunny Sunday evening. To my surprise the place was thronged! Happily though the staff squeezed us in and delivered an excellent dining experience.

La Pizzeria lives up to its name, with great pizza in a very homely atmosphere. Well worth a visit, though avoid disappointment and book first!
