This restaurant is great value for money. The staff are very friendly . My husband had the Ceasar salad. He thought it was good. He also had the steak which was cooked perfectly, I had the hake and it was fabulous. The desserts are usually very good, my husband had the berry cheesecake which was more like a jelly mould with a biscuit base, he was sorry he hadn't gone for the Toblerone cheesecake and I had the Apple crumble, it was OK but the apples were stewed. The coffee tasted like it was from a thermos. Not as good as usual.

The Bru 22 menu is great value :Starter+Main+Dessert OR Starter+Main+Glass of Wine OR Starter+Main+Speciality Coffee
We went for the one with the wine - the duck spring roll is really tasty and the fish and chips are very nice, the staff were v welcoming and attentive during our visit even though there was a large party in & the place was filling up. I'd def go back again.

Wasnt happy with service in particular. we were left waiting ages even though the waiter and waitresses knew we were there, had to ask could we order in the end and was left waiting again. I also found the staff rude on the plus the food was lovely, my mother got a goats chesse starter and I had lasagne. The french fries were not nice though at all.

We visted Bru with a number of friends on Saturday night. We all ordered from the Bru 22 menu, which was exceptional value. I added to the menu as I ordered the sirlion steak with crispy onion rings and garlic potatoes. Mains was great, steak was cooked perfectly so hats off to the chef. Desert, which was a chocolate brownie was lovely also and a really large portion. I had the goats cheese for starters and while it was nice, I felt there was a lot of flavours going on in with the mustard and a little overpowering. Atmosphere in the restaurant wasn't amazing, although well suited to groups. Having the bar upstairs though well made up for this and was a great way to finish the everning. Overall, a really nice place to visit, with lovely food at very good value and great service.

Bru has a special offer for €22 which includes a starter, main and drink (though I think there are other combinations)
This is just about value for money, the food is standard, nothing special, edible but unmemorable. We had fish cakes and chicken wings to start, both of which were a bit dry, the chicken wings so much so that they weren't finished. For the main course we had grilled lemon sole and lasagna. I was disappointed with the lemon sole, I wonder was it actually lemon sole as it didn't taste like it. The lasagna was very watery, it's often like this when it's cooked in single portions in small bowls, I always think the bolognese sauce would benefit from being cooked a little while longer before being made into lasagna.
The staff member who served us was just a bit too familiar and made us feel slightly uncomfortable. The restaurant looks nice but you feel like you are in a giant goldfish bowl on view for the whole town to see. It's a pity that the restaurant isn't where the bar is on the second floor and vice-versa, I would certainly appreciate not having to walk up all those stairs to the bar on a a night out!

Me and my partner went for a meal on a friday @ 5.30pm the service was brilliant. The girl who took our order also brought a jug of water over while we waited on our drink. We got the menu for €22 which is great value and has lots of selction, for starter we got spicey wings and bread crumbed mushrooms they were both very tasty and good portion size then for the main we got burger and fresh beer batter cod served with chips once again very tasty,I had a dessert instead of a glass of wine ,I got banoffi pie which I have to say was one of the nicest I have ever tasted.Nice restaurant, very clean and friendly.highly recommened and will be visting again.

Went here on a day trip to Drogheda after we struggled to find somewhere for lunch. The restaurant was quite big and lacking in character and atmosphere, seemed like a rather soulless kind of place. Food was average as was the service. Not expensive but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
