5.0 Windsor Bar and Restaurant The 5.0 star review:
The Windsor restaurant is the best Dundalk has to offer, in my opinion. The service is great every time you visit, whether it's busy or not. We were seated beside the gas fire in one of the rooms towards the front of the restaurant. The staff were very friendly. There is a great menu deal from Monday to Friday where you can get a starter, main, desert and tea/coffee for twenty five euro a head. For the starter I had the spring rolls, which were very tasty, if a little on the small side. My partner enjoyed the soup of the day. I ordered the Windsor Chicken and my partner ordered the Cajun Chicken; both were delicious and came with side salad and chips. For desert we both had the chocolate brownie and ice cream. Very tasty and filling - a real treat.

5.0 Windsor Bar and Restaurant The 5.0 star review:
This was not my first time to dine here nor will it be the last as I find that there isn't another restaurant in Dundalk that can beat it for consistancy in quality of food and service. If in doubt go to The Windsor. Other restaurants vary from time to time but you can always rely on a high quality meal with plenty of choice, lovely atmosphere,no children running around, high standard of service and value for money when you dine here. As you might have guessed it is my favourite restaurant in the area and my family would testify that I am not easy to satisfy when it comes to dining out!

3.0 Windsor Bar and Restaurant The 3.0 star review:
Was a member of a party of 11 on a bank holiday Monday. The early bird menu at €25 wasn't bad value & the atmopshere is not too bad, however the restaurant is badly let down by the staff & how slow everything happens. The staff are very nice however just very unprofessional & lacking in cope on. Everything had to be asked for, for example we asked for a jug of water & one jug for a party of 11 was delivered, it was necessary to speel out to them that 3 were needed. Also all the desserts served then we had to ask for spoons, someone just placed a bunch of them on the table & left & we were still short! Also very mean with the sides & bread. Definitely in no rush to go back, however again the food is not bad

5.0 Windsor Bar and Restaurant The 5.0 star review:
The food in this restaurant, is truly fantastic. The staff were all very polite and efficient, timing the courses perfectly. There is no need to book a table, when you show up you are seated in the comfortable bar area where you are served drinks. Your order is taken here and when a table is available you are taken into the restaurant itself and your first course is brought to you within minutes.
The food itself is delicious, I would particularly recommend the Chicken Parmella, and for those who really appreciate their steak, the Windsor Restaurant offers both sirloin and fillet which are both of the finest quality and cooked perfectly to your own personal preference.
The prices are quite reasonable especially when you consider how good the food is. All in all, anyone visiting Dundalk or anyone living here and just looking for an excellent evening out I would recommend The Windsor Restaurant.

4.5 Windsor Bar and Restaurant The 4.5 star review:
The Windsor enjoys a reputation for high quality food in Dundalk and it does not disappoint. With a varied menu offering value for money, there is something for everyone. The only disappointment is the coffee which I would not recommend. Otherwise, this is a great spot.

This is a very busy restaurant and they have a no booking policy which can be annoying on a Saturday night. Nonetheless, this is a very wholesome restaurant, serving amazing steaks and the symphony of seafood is definietly one to try.

I was passing through Dundalk and stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Although the interior could do with a facelift it does what it says on the tin pubgrub at affordablwe prices just dont expect a fine dining experience..nice steaks though!

Yes you may have to que to get a table in the restaurant, but if you ask the wait staff they will give you a fairly accurate waiting time, then the decision is yours. Most choose to stay, it proves the popularity and quality of the place. If you stay you will get lovely, hot, fresh and yummy food. Each and every course is fantastic.
The downstairs bars could do with a little updating.

2.0 Windsor Bar and Restaurant The 2.0 star review:
I have been to this place a couple of times and I can never understand why people rave about it. The restaurant above the pub looks shabby. The tables are cramped and uncomfortable. They make you wait ages for your table and only seat you when your food is ready to be served, even when there are tables free for you to sit at. The service is slow and every time I have been there the waiting staff have served me food with their fingers in my dishes. The food is very average. Large helpings of greasy pub grub standard food with high prices. The waiting staff are also very sullen. I wouldn't go back.
