Have eaten here on several occasions in the past year. Have found the service to be average at best, however the food is of a reasonably good quality and the portions are good. Good for a casual meal out. Not a place to take a first date or impress someone.

This place is usually a firm favourite with myself and my friends although we had not been in some time. It was very quiet (only one other table occupied) but a pleasant enough atmosphere until they switched off the music. We had many dishes , sag aloo, bombay aloo, popadoms, dahl, vindaloo, madras and patia. All of which were delicious but by the time we were finishing our meal and second bottle of wine the staff had their coats on. This made us feel very uncomfortable and a bit disappointed considering the amount of custom we have given the place in the past few years.

Punjab House is an authentic Indian restaurant with superb furnishings, traditional Indian music and delicious food. Every time I visit the restaurant the waiters greet me in a friendly manner. The service is efficient and quick. There is a great choice of dish from chicken, lamb or king prawn, also there are dishes to suit every ones taste - from very mild to very spicy. All dishes come with a choice of rice - boiled or pilau, extra for the special rice. I thoroughly recommend the Chicken Jaflon. It is made with the juice of oranges and served with a slice of orange on top. It has a mild, refreshing flavour that tastes very healthy. Also I would recommend the Peshwari Naan bread as an accompaniment for the Chicken Jaflon as it contains dried fruit and is an excellent taste sensation with the orange flavoured dish. The prices are very reasonable and the portion size is perfect so I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit.
