Newcastle West Golf Club which is a beautifully situated Irish parkland golf course, set amidst mature woodland in the gently rolling landscape of County Limerick in Southern Ireland. Just over an hour's drive from Shannon Airport, the golf course is conveniently positioned for a perfect Irish golfing holiday or short golf break between the famous golf links of Ballybunion and Tralee and the Irish Open venue of Adare Golf Club. Founded in 1938, Newcastle West Golf Club is one of the oldest in the Shannon and mid-west region of Ireland.
With magnificent views across the countryside, the club house offers visitors the very finest of Irish hospitality. Full meals are available in our 'Stables Restaurant' while our Bar offers lighter snacks and a generous offering of the traditional Irish craic.
The Catering and Beverage area is managed by John Quinn and is sufficient to say that the reputation of renowned 'Stables' restaurant is second to none. John Quinn Catering provides all of the catering and bar requirements at Newcastle West Golf Club, Ardagh.
John has 25 years of experience in all aspects of the catering trade from small house parties to large function such as the Captains Dinner.
This would not be possible without the support of his loyal and experienced staff that is responsible for the smooth day to day running of business.
All our produce is freshly cooked to order each day and our homemade desserts are always a temptation.

Went here for a family lunch few wks back, we used to go frequently but not in a few years, could not fault the place, the service was excellent and very friendly, the veg soup was very tasty as were the garlic mushrooms for mains. The whole family had not a bad word to say about the place, well worth checking out for sunday lunch

Dragged here kicking and screaming for a round of golf which I hate but with a promise of a decent meal after and I must say I was not disappointed cracking meal really homely welcome and a good beer too..! Will come again

this place has great food lunch or dinner its a top restaurant and after a day of golf they will feed u. a great view of the golf course while eating. good value what else would u need
