Milano (Limerick) 1.0 star review: This was the first time I visited a Milano's though I had a bad memory from a Pizza Express in the UK.

I was shocked at the pepperoni pizza. It had absolutely no flavour from the base, sauce or pepperoni. I'll stick to Goodfella's from now on.

The fig dessert was a disappointment. A few mini-figs stewed in alcohol. I thought it would be a healthy, light, fresh-fruit dessert!

The meal was insubstantial. I had a cheese sandwich when I got home.

I can't understand the positive reviews here. I can't believe a pizza lover would eat here.

At €12 for a pizza and €5 for a mini-dessert with coffee I don't see why it's down as one '€' in the price range.

And although I don't get it, the place was very busy!

Milano (Limerick) 5.0 star review: I love Milano for a less formal, more laid back lunch or dinner. The antipasto plate is a favourite of mine and the make caesar salad special, it is delicious. Pizzas and pastas are lovely too. A great place for tasty meals with great value for both food and wine.

Milano (Limerick) 4.5 star review: i love this restaurant! if you love pizza then you should definately go here. You can watch as they make your pizza, so you know its fresh and the pizzas themselves are absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly but took a while for the pizzas as it was quite busy. Reccommended defiinately.

Milano (Limerick) 4.5 star review: Milano is always consistently good. I eat here quite regularly and it can always be relied upon to be good. It was pretty busy but not a noisy as it can get some Friday evening particularly when there are big groups upstairs so it was pleasant. We were seated promptly and the service was efficient as ever throughout.

Milano (Limerick) 5.0 star review: Milano always have such great offers so value for money is excellent. With free pizzas etc, you can eat in here for very cheaply & leave the place very satified. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is second to none. Really nice for a cosmopolitan feeling if you're heading out for a few drinks. Thumbs up! I eat here regularly.

Milano (Limerick) 5.0 star review: I ate here using a two for one voucher on Friday. It was very pleasant. The service was very good. They regularly update the menu which is great as it adds variety. The drinks are pretty pricey but the voucher made it reasonable overall.

Milano (Limerick) 4.0 star review: Went here with a 2 for 1 voucher from Irish Indo, I had Diavolo Pizza my guest had lasagne, staff very friendly and considerate, however meals slow coming out during lunch time period. Food was very nice, presented beautifully, however without a voucher its very expensive for what it is, pasta portions arent massive and wine is very over priced per glass, overall a reliable dining experience rather than an amazing one.

Milano (Limerick) 5.0 star review: Went to Milanos a few wekks ago after my friend telling me how good it was. And she wasn't wrong. The location is lovely by the water. The food was outstanding, I had pizza with salad in the middle beautiful and of course had to have dessert, tiramusu I can still taste it, it was so good. The service was excellent, order taken promply when we were ready and with a smile and while we were waiting out wine came promptly before our mains so we could relax and chat before the food. I did think the wine could be a little cheaper, but it was a lovely wine so got over that. Over all everything was excellent and good value for money in a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere. Rating of 4... keep up the good work

Milano (Limerick) 3.5 star review: Milanos is a nice restuarant ,the staff are very friendly and prompt, the food is very tasty and the quality is consistant. However there are a few issues I have with the place. It's very parent friendly and often packed to the rafters so on a busy night be prepared for noise - quiet and intimate it ain't! I normally go for salads but they are quite expensive, €13/€14 for a salad is a bit much, but the special offers on pizzas midweek is very good value and they are lovely. I'd go to Milanos as a treat but a three course meal deal elsewhere would always beat it hands down.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
