We stopped in here on a fleeting visit to Foynes, and I must say, we were pleasantly surprised by how well this place is run. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was above average standard pub grub, and the locals were friendly and lively. All-in-all, a good time was had by all, they even had colouring sheets and crayons to keep the kids occupied!

we needed somewhere to get something for ourselves and 2 kids so thought it was ok last time so as we were passing would try it again..bad move Ordered from the specials board ..Fresh whiting,it was over cooked in breadcrumbs and placed on scoops of mash loads of veg think it was supposed to be carrot and turnip but the turnip was so overpowering.there was green beans also but everything was either reheated or really overcooked.A babybowl consisted of mash with more of the turnip which made the baby gag.My husband ordered Cod and chips from the menu but got Fish on the same selction of mash and veg.He also said it really didnt taste like cod..sausage and chips for our little girl was again mediocre all for €36 which is expensive when the service was bad also.We left most of the food on our plates paid up and left ..Will never return for food.

Visited here for a christmas party with a very large group of people, over 60, really enjoyed it here. The staff are so friendly and willing to help in any possible way, hard to say a bad thing about any of them. Food was exceptional, turkey small bit dry but everything else more than made up for this. Had a great night of eating and drinking and a few of us even got rooms to stay in at very reasonable prices. Definately deserves a hats off.
