Freddy's Bistro 4.5 star review: Had an excellent evening here last month . Starters were humus and mushroom risotto . Both were lovely with the risotto just getting the nod as I'm a bit of a traditionalist with humus having lived in Syria and Lebanon maybe I'm with what i got too critical but there was absolutely nothing wrong with what i was served actually probably the best attempt at humus i have found in Ireland. Mains were slow cooked pork belly truly delicious and if memory serves me correctly the hake. As we ordered from the early evening menu at 19 euro the value was great. The staff were lovely and most helpful in in every way specially the Maitre Di ( Manageress ) who was particularly friendly and indeed pointed us towards a lovely pub , Gleeson's > where we enjoyed a lovely poetry night . We will be back!

Freddy's Bistro 5.0 star review: I have been meaning to write a review of this restaurant since we visited last december. as first time visitors to Limerick we used tripadvisor to find restaurant and were not disappointed by this little gem. I especially remember the cod and chick pea and chorizo dish as i have tried to recreate this at home and have always fallen short. Big thumbs up from me.

Freddy's Bistro 4.0 star review: I went to Freddy's on Valentines with my husband, not sure if its the night that didn't justify their quality, but we certainly were bit disappointed with the food compared to our expectation after reading the reviews. My husband had chicken wing for starter, the wing was too soft like been cooked too long. I had fish cake which was OK. Both main course wasn't bad though. Maybe our expectation was too high, maybe it wasn't a right night to do, but our overall experience wasn't impressed, I say, we'll not rush to give another try in a while.

Freddy's Bistro 4.0 star review: I found Freddy’s Bistro to be a lovely quaint restaurant with good food. Not all my friends agreed though. I went with a group of friends for a birthday dinner, and we ordered from the set 2-course menu for €20. While not all of us were very impressed, I was lucky that everything I had was great. I ordered a starter of mushroom risotto and a main of mild fish curry, which were both very good. The fish doesn’t seem to be on the menu anymore so I can’t say exactly what kind of fish it was. It was really good though. Two friends had 2 other kinds of fish and they weren’t as impressed. They found theirs to be either uninspiring or dry. One friend had the carbonara and really liked it. The birthday girl also got the sticky toffee pudding, which I loved. I would go back for that pudding alone.

Freddy's Bistro 5.0 star review: My husband and I ate here last Friday night. From the minute we went in to the minute we left we were so impressed. We got a warm welcome into the cosy little restaurant. We had the early bird menu. The choice of food was fantastic as was the price. The service was excellent from the very friendly staff and above all the food was fantastic.I had the steak cooked to perfection & the nutty pancake for desert was fab.We have plans to return in there next month with friends.

Freddy's Bistro 4.0 star review: Myself and my girlfriend visited Freddys one evening after work. We booked for 7 and were seated upstairs.

The building is lovely very well finished with a nice style.

The atmosphere was nice however there was one large party there and another arrived when we were havin our main, by the end the noise was far above a comfortable level.

The service was very good with nice friendly staff.

The food was the best part of the experience we shared stuffed mushrooms for starter which were beautiful leaving me to wish we hadnt shared. I then had steak for my main course which I have to say was the nicest steak I have had in recent memory.

The set course menu is reasonable it includes two courses however not having tea/coffee included is always disappointing.

I will most definitely go back to Freddys again.
